Drama's professional program is a network of unique studios, each teaching an exclusive approach to craft. Students train intensively in one of eight studios three full days a week in a working environment composed of twelve to eighteen students.
Technique is acquired in this first (Primary) studio where students remain four semesters in order to cultivate a consistent process. Based on the applicant's interests and assessed needs, the Primary studio placement recommendations are made by the faculty member conducting the applicant's artistic review. Final studio assignments are made on receipt of the accepted student's deposit and are subject to space availability. For their third year training (Advanced), students may choose to explore additional study at their Primary studio or audition to transfer into another studio to learn a new approach or specialized skills. The fourth year of training is elective allowing students to concentrate either on further advanced studio work or academics.
