Great show. I'm a bit dissapointed about the lack of government funding as well because I strongly believe that if more games start coming out of Australia it will mean better release dates overall for us Aussies.

Great show Randy, Dan, Koz.
I'm happy to hear the news about PS3s in Aust, but I agree with Dan in thinking that this probably won't appeal too as many ppl as Sony hope it will.
Maybe when they make something a bit more backward compatible and as cheap it'll really start to appeal more. Good to see such a big price drop though.

You guys have got it way wrong on the Games vs Movie industry debate in Australia. The Australian movie industry has relied on Government funding for years and would die off completely without it's support, and if this happened then a significant part of Australia's cultural voice would die off as well. The government deciding not to extend this support to the local video games industry is fair, and it doesn't mean that they don't think it's a legitimate form of expression, just they don't see why they should get the same kind of handouts. The local game industry can survive without it, so why should they get taxpayer assistance? The Australian film industry has a long history, whereas the Australian video games industry adds very little to this countries unique cultural expression. It's not like games made here enrich people's understanding about Australia or it's culture, or encourage tourism to Australia. You should learn a bit more about why Australian movies get this support before you make these comparisons.
