 Jamie Farr has spent a half a century in Show business. He became a professional actor in 1954 appearing in the Los Angeles stage production “Mr. Roberts”. His first film was the MGM dramatic, controversial, blockbuster “Blackboard Jungle” which starred Glenn Ford and Sidney Poitier.

He co-starred with comedic legend Red Skelton on live television at CBS.   Has worked with Lucille Ball, Andy Griffith, Dean Martin, Dick Van Dyke, Mary Tyler Moore, Walter Cronkite, Burt Reynolds, Bob Hope, Charlton Heston, Roger Moore, Doris Day, Milton Berle, Danny Kaye and many, many more.

Comedy, Drama, Westerns, Farces, Historical you name it and Jamie has done it.  Besides appearing on every talk show on every network and syndicated television station…he is one of the leading game show celebrity panelist.  “Match Game”, “The Gong Show”, “Super Password”, “$25,000 Dollar Pyramid” “$100,000 Pyramid”  “Body Language” and too many more to mention.

He has helped create game shows…written television scripts and directed television series.

Has been the guest of Presidents Jimmy Carter, Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan and George Herman Walker Bush at the White House.

His Broadway debut in the revival of “Guys and Dolls” became the longest running revival of any kind, play or musical.

Other theatre roles, Oscar in the national touring company “The Odd Couple”, Ali Hakim in the national touring company of “Oklahoma”, Fagin in “Oliver”, Scrooge in “A Christmas Carol”.

Other starring roles in “Will Rogers Follies”, “Lend Me a Tenor”, “Moon Over Buffalo” and many, many more.

 Mr. Farr has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  Emmy nomination, A park named after him in Toledo, Ohio. Has two honorary doctorates. University of Toledo, Medical College of Ohio. Has been the national spokesman for Mars candy bars, IBM computers and After Six tuxedos. Hosted two nationally syndicated radio shows…”A Maalox Moment”  “ Kellogg’s Traveliln’ Farr”. 

Was awarded the “Ellis Island Medal of Honor”  Has Hosted the Jamie Farr LPGA Golf Classic for twenty years donating over 4 million dollars to children’s charities in Northwest Ohio.

Oh and by the way…for eleven years portrayed Max Klinger on the successful television series M*A*S*H.
