2. I've heard a rumor about Episode III. Is it true?
  While rumor and gossip has always been part of the film business, the age of the internet speeds them on their way with unprecedented velocity. Lucasfilm cannot possibly directly address every rumor.   In 1991, Dark Horse Comics published their firstStar Wars comic series calledStar Wars: Dark Empire by Tom Veitch and Cam Kennedy in which a struggle with the resurrected EmperorPalpatine requires Luke to learn the secrets of the dark side. The series is available in a collected trade paperback through many book retailers, as is an audio adaptation. 5. Who isMara Jade? In what book did she marryLuke Skywalker?
  Recent surveys have shown that Mara Jade is the most popularStar Wars character to have originated from the Expanded Universe. She first appeared in the 1991 novelHeir tothe Empire by Timothy Zahn. Mara was once a trusted agent of Emperor Palpatine. When Palpatine died at the Battle ofEndor, Mara was directionless and entered the fringe of society, working with a smuggler group. Luke Skywalker met her five years after the event ofReturn of the Jedi. Though their relationship was rocky at first, they eventually fell in love. Their marriage was chronicled by Michael A. Stackpole and Robert Teranishi in the comic seriesUnion, by Dark Horse Comics.
6. Who areJaina,Jacen andAnakin Solo?
  About four years after the Battle of Endor,Han Solo andPrincess Leia Organa finally got married in Dave Wolverton's novelThe Courtship of Princess Leia, published in 1994. In Timothy Zahn's novelThe Last Command, Leia gives birth to twins Jacen and Jaina. Shortly thereafter, Leia has a third child named Anakin. All three are very powerful in the Force, and are now Jedi Knights.
7. Is it true thatChewbacca died?
  The fictional character of Chewbacca did indeed meet his end in the 1999 novelVector Prime, the first novel of The New Jedi Order. His death underscores the sheer danger of the new alien menace introduced in the series.
