Maurice Starr, legendary American musician, songwriter and record producer, best known for his work creating bands like New Edition, New Kids On The Block, and now, NK5, will be making an exclusive stop in the area on Friday, August 7, 2015. Mr. Starr is currently managing New Kreation 5 or NK5, a sensational boy band he assembled, along with producing and writing their songs. The group of young entertainers is capturing the hearts of all of America! They'll be showing off their stuff in several free concerts.
City Council President, Brian Gomes, arranged to bring the singers to New Bedford City Hall for a 1 pm press conference. At 2:30 pm, the group entertains at the Boys and Girls Club on Jenny St. Then, off to the Wareham Boys and Girls Club for a 4 pm show, and then back to New Bedford's State Pier for a 6pm appearance. At 8 pm they'll entertain world famous, Ralph Tavares at a retirement party and they'll end the night at the Dudley Brown VFW in Wareham for a 9 pm show.
NK5 is bringing the gift of music to an Anti-bullying awareness movement. The public is encouraged to catch one of the free appearances of music icon, Maurice Starr and NK5!
