I feel like the writer is actually capable of writing something good. Friendly conversations between the main characters are pleasant to read and they can create the right mood for each type of scene. Problem lies with the story's pacing and how it connects those different types of scenes.
You see, the game reminds me a bit ofManakashi which also started as a more or less cute story but went deeper into the toxic relationship later on. And Sutekano has a hard time making a... Read more »

I recently finished Refind Self- one of the shortest and most gripping Lesbian love stories I've had the pleasure of reading. Going from that to this is tonal whiplash to say the least; this game is like if Ame-chan from Needy Streamer Overload was a lesbian and had even less inhibitions and about the same level of mental disturbance.
Slandering this game for puritan reasons is dumb especially considering the plethora of flaws it has; it tackles sensitive topics with the delicacy of a sledgehammer and yet I think to those who aren't put off by the warnings makes it oddly compelling as... Read more »
On one hand, I really enjoyed the premise of the novel and it's characters. A super antisocial girl meets a super outgoing normal girl, and an unhealthy, unbalanced relation blooms between the two.
But in practice, this SuteKano doesn't deliver. There are many time skips that skip the more interesting relationshop developments between the two, and we just have to accept that Sumire is completely yandere now.
Furthermore, there are a lot of hints to a bigger plot behind the scenes of what we see, but it is never followed up on. Most of the endings are disappointing.
Honestly a huge disappointment. Not exactly bad, but doesn't deliver in any satisfactory form.

Frankly I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.
I was on JAST one day, filtering for VNs with Japanese text included. Sutekano caught my eye. It was on sale, it had yuri, and it seemed a little dark and edgy. But hey, it's not like every route will be dark, right? I thought naively.A little edginess is right up my alley anyway.
I glanced at the English description of the game, mesmerized by how...otherworldly it was. This was no concern of mine, however, as I intended to read it in Japanese.Whatever, I thought;it seems interesting enough based on the screenshots. So I bought it.
9 hours of gameplay later, I find myself still... Read more »
Art is gorgeous and i loved both characters and their flaws.
The BGM is also incredibly enjoyable.
I personally think shorter games should stick to being a kinetic novel because with those short side endings it just feels like your farming out the content after the main story and it doesnt leave as... Read more »
we're introduced with the main character Sumire being having self-esteem problems for some reason but if her art is anything to go by, it's not like she's ugly or anything. she was even stalked by some guys, and whatever trauma that induced, she is now misandrist as a result and thus she's lesbo now.
so I went through other comments and they are basically saying this was a wasted potential. instead of tackling on psychological problems or something similar, this turned out to be a yuri nukige VN. I'm not gonna read any further, just trust said comments and drop it.
