You can also distribute unmodified parts of Vim, likewise unrestricted except that theymust include thislicense text. You are also allowed to include executables that you made from the unmodified Vim sources, plus your own usage examples and Vim scripts.II) Itis allowed to distributea modified (or extended) version of Vim, including executables and/or source code, when the following four conditions are met: 1) Thislicense textmust be included unmodified. 2) The modified Vimmust be distributed in one of the following five ways:a) If you make changes to Vim yourself, youmust clearly describe in thedistribution how to contact you. When the maintainer asks you (in any way) fora copy of the modified Vim you distributed, youmust make your changes, including source code, available to the maintainer without fee. The maintainer reserves the right to include your changes in the official version of Vim. What the maintainer willdo with your changes and under whatlicense they will be distributedis negotiable. If there has been no negotiation then this license, ora later version, also applies to your changes. The current maintainers are listed here:https://github.com/orgs/vim/people If this changesit will be announced in appropriate places (most likely vim.sf.net, www.vim.org and/or comp.editors). Whenitis completely impossible to contact the maintainer, the obligation to send him your changes ceases. Once the maintainer has confirmed that he has received your changes they will not have to be sent again. b) If you have receiveda modified Vim that was distributedas mentioned undera) you are allowed to further distributeit unmodified,as mentionedat I). If you make additional changes the text undera) applies to those changes. c) Provide all the changes, including source code, with every copy of the modified Vim you distribute. This may be done in the form ofa context diff. You can choose whatlicense to use for new code you add. The changes and theirlicensemust not restrict others from making their own changes to the official version of Vim. d) When you havea modified Vim which includes changesas mentioned under c), you can distributeit without the source code for the changes if the following three conditions are met:- Thelicense that applies to the changes permits you to distribute the changes to the Vim maintainer without fee or restriction, and permits the Vim maintainer to include the changes in the official version of Vim without fee or restriction.- You keep the changes forat least three years after last distributing the corresponding modified Vim. When the maintainer or someone who you distributed the modified Vim to asks you (in any way) for the changes within this period, youmust make them available to him.- You clearly describe in thedistribution how to contact you. This contact informationmust remain valid forat least three years after last distributing the corresponding modified Vim, oras longas possible. e) When the GNU General Public License (GPL) applies to the changes, you can distribute the modified Vim under the GNU GPL version 2 or any later version. 3)A messagemust be added,at least in the output of the ":version" command and in theintro screen, such that the user of the modified Vimis able to see thatit was modified. When distributingas mentioned under 2)e) adding the messageis only required foras faras this does not conflict with thelicense used for the changes. 4) The contact informationas required under 2)a) and 2)d)must not be removed or changed, except that the person himself can make corrections.III) If you distributea modified version of Vim, you are encouraged to use the Vimlicense for your changes and make them available to the maintainer, including the source code. The preferred way todo thisis by e-mail or by uploading the files toa server and e-mailing the URL. If the number of changesis small (e.g.,a modified Makefile) e-mailinga contextdiff will do. The e-mail address to be usedis <maintainer@vim.org>IV) Itis not allowed to remove thislicense from thedistribution of the Vim sources, parts ofit or froma modified version. You may use thislicense for previous Vim releases instead of thelicense that they came with,at your option.=== end of license ===Note:- If you are happy with Vim, please express that by reading the rest of this file and consider helping needy children in Uganda.- If you want to support further Vimdevelopment consider becomingasponsor. The money goes toUganda anyway.- According to Richard Stallman the Vimlicenseis GNU GPL compatible.A few minor changes have been made since he checked it, but that should not makea difference.- If you link Vim witha library that goes under the GNU GPL, thislimits furtherdistribution to the GNU GPL. Also when you didn't actually change anything in Vim.- Oncea changeis included that goes under the GNU GPL, this forces all further changes to also be made under the GNU GPL ora compatible license.- If you distributea modified version of Vim, you can include your name and contact information with the "--with-modified-by" configure argument or the MODIFIED_BY define.- Thislicense applies to the source code of Vim. However, differentlicense conditions may apply to some runtime files included with Vim; these will be specified in the header of each respective file.==============================================================================Kibaale Children's CentrekccKibaalecharityKibaale Children's Centre (KCC)is located in Kibaale,a small town in thesouth of Uganda, near Tanzania, in East Africa. The areais knownas RakaiDistrict. The populationis mostly farmers. Although people are poor, thereusuallyis enough food. But this districtis suffering from AIDS more thanany other part of the world. Some say thatit started there. Estimations arethat in the past 10 to 30% of the Ugandans are infected with HIV. Becauseparents die, there are many orphans. In this district about 60,000 childrenhave lost one or both parents, out ofa population of 350,000. Although AIDSis now mostly under control, the problems are still continuing. The children needa lot of help. The KCCis working hard to provide the needywith food, medical care and education. Food and medical care to keep themhealthy now, and education so that they can take care of themselves in thefuture. KCC works ona Christian base, buthelpis given to children of anyreligion. The key to solving the problems in this areais education. This has beenneglected in the past years with president Idi Amin and the following civilwars. Now that the governmentis stable again, the children and parents haveto learn how to take care of themselves and how to avoid infections. Thereisalsohelp for people who are ill and hungry, but the primary goalis toprevent people from getting ill and to teach them how to grow healthy food. Most of the orphans are living in an extended family. An uncle or oldersisteris taking care of them. Because these families are big and the income(if any)is low,a childis lucky ifit gets healthy food. Clothes, medicalcare and schoolingis beyond its reach. Tohelp these needy children, asponsorship program wasput into place.A child can be financially adopted.Fora few dollarsa month KCC sees toit that the child gets indispensableitems,is healthy, goes to school and KCC takes care of anything else thatneeds to be done for the child and the family that supports it.Besides helping the child directly, the environment where the child grows upneeds to be improved. KCC helps schools to improve their teaching methods.Thereisa demonstration schoolat the centre and teacher trainings are given.Health workers are being trained, hygiene educationis carried out andhouseholds are stimulated to builda proper latrine.I helped setting upaproduction site for cement slabs. These are used to builda good latrine. They are sold below cost price.Thereisa clinicat the project, which provides children and their familymedical help. Since 2020a maternity ward was added and 24/7 serviceisavailable. When needed, transport toa hospitalis offered. Immunizationprograms are carried out andhelpis provided when an epidemicis breaking out(measles and cholera have beena problem).Summer 1994 to summer 1995Bram spenta whole yearat the centre, workingasavolunteer.Bram helped to expand the centre and worked in the area of waterand sanitation.Bram learned that thehelp that the KCC provides reallyhelps. WhenBram came back to Holland, he wanted to continue supporting KCC.Todo this he has been raising funds and organizing the sponsorship program.Howdo you know that the money will be spent right?
