Ricardo Diaz, Jr., better known asRichard Dragon, is a major antagonist inDC Comics, serving as the secondary antagonist in theGreen Arrow franchise. He is the leader of the Longbow Hunters and a crime lord based in Seattle.
Ricardo Diaz, Jr. was trained by theLeague of Assassins and vowed to take revenge on the Green Arrow after watching him and John Diggle humiliating his father. Diaz eventually murdered his mentor, the first Richard Dragon, and took his name for himself.
Returning to Seattle, Richard Dragon started to take down several crime lords in order to take over their turfs. WhenCount Vertigo started his attack on Seattle, Dragon tracked down Shado and fought and easily defeated her while she was on her way to stop Vertigo.
He left a message for the Green Arrow with her - that the Arrow could accept his supreme reign over Seattle or die. Later, Dragon assembles a group of villains, theLongbow Hunters, to collect the bounty on the Green Arrow's head.
Green Arrow is able to defeat all of them with the help of his young half-sister, Emiko. Green Arrow is then reunited with Diggle, after Dragon attempts to kill the latter by defenestration. In a fight against both Arrow and Diggle, Dragon is able to significantly injure both of them but is ultimately defeated.

Master Martial Artist: Ricardo is a highly-skilled martial artist, being trained by the original Richard Dragon himself, even managing to kill him. He is trained in Wing Chun, though may have learned his mentor's fighting styles such as Aikido, Karate, Kung Fu, Jujitsu, Judo, Muay Thai, and Silat. He was able to defeat the highly-skilled assassin, Shado in hand to hand combat with just a few strikes. He could fight Green Arrow and John Diggle separately and even at the same time, managing to gain the upper hand on them.
Peak Human Physical Condition: Dragon's physical conditioning is at the peak of human potential. He is strong enough to lift a grown man with a single arm and hurl him off of a building, break three of Green Arrow's ribs with a single kick, and broke a metal bow just by stomping on it with his barefoot. His reflexes are great enough to catch an arrow in mid-air or even three arrows simultaneously.
Master Strategist: Ricardo is a highly capable in strategy.
Above Average Tactical Analysis: Diaz is capable of analyzing complex combat strategies, to the point of being able to analyze and pinpoint weaknesses and strengths in opposing combat strategies instantaneously and adapt accordingly. He could fight at least two highly skilled combatants simultaneously, in his head instantaneously.
Leadership: Diaz controls multiple gang turfs that he has taken over and directly leads the Longbow Hunters.
Intimidation: Dragon is an imposing prescience with his skill, brutality, and influence making him feared by many.
Diaz made his live-action debut in the TV seriesArrow, where he appeared as the main antagonist of season 6 and the secondary antagonist of season 7. In this iteration, he is a powerful and ruthless drug kingpin known by his street namethe Dragon and he is revealed to be the mastermind behindCayden James's vendetta against Oliver Queen in his plot to take over Star City. After being locked up for his crimes halfway through season 7, he is burnt to death by the Ninth Circle leaderEmiko Queen.
