Operation: Zero Tolerance, abbreviated asOZT, are the main antagonists in Season 1 ofX-Men '97.

They are a mysterious organization of mutant hating individuals founded byBastion in order to enslave mutantkind and ultimately take over the world.

History[]

Presumably after the assassination of Charles Xavier,Henry Peter Gyrich partnered with renegade geneticistMister Sinister,Bolivar Trask the creator of theSentinels, as well as the human-Sentinel hybridBastion to form OZT, a secretive division of the United Nations.

They manipulated and orchestrated several events, including the Genosha genocide by Sentinels, presumably the creation of Madelyne Pryor, as well as unleashing Prime Sentinels to attack the world's mutant population.

While Bastion promised to subjugate mutant-kind beneath humanity, his true purpose is to weaken both species to facilitate the ascension of artificial intelligences and machine-kind, to allow Nimrod to eventually conquer the Earth.
