Lucifer is the secondary antagonist ofDisney'sCinderella franchise.
He is a mean-spirited and conniving bad black cat ofLady Tremaine, who, much like of his spiteful mistreatment towards her step-daughterCinderella. His plots typically involve sabotaging her dogBruno, and he is the arch-nemesies ofJaq and Gus.

Physical Appearance[]
Lucifer is an obese cat with black fur covering most of his body. He has a ruffled black head, a white muzzle, yellow eyes with green pupils and a big pink nose. He has two long white whiskers on either side of his upper lip, and his mouth is often turned up into a sinister smile. Lucifer's sharp claws are almost always sticking out.

Although Lucifer was extremely loyal towards his owners, he was monstrous to the many mice that inhabited the home. He also likes to torment Bruno and Cinderella and relishes in their inconveniences with a smug smile and seems to love being mean and a bully to Cinderella and other mice. His favorite mouse to target is Gus, due to his plump size. He was also an obstreperous troublemaker who enjoyed causing mischief and he often tricks the mice into doing the wrong things. Lucifer also ruins Cinderella's ideas to attend the ball.
The only reason Lucifer is loyal to Lady Tremaine is because she puts a roof over his head. Otherwise, he’s nothing more than a clever, sly, calculating and cunning yet gluttonous, cruel, sour, baleful, sneaky, mischievous, opportunistic and rotten pet cat who can be clumsy due to his heftiness (but can bounce back even after being tricked) and is smart enough to detect someone's presence.
Lucifer overall tends to be a sadistic nuisance whose hobbies includes his love for torturing mice, sleeping, bullying innocent people, get into some scheming, finding ways to make Bruno and Cinderella's lives miserable, tormenting with people's vulnerabilities for fun, and also constantly trying to sabotage Cinderella's plans and get her into trouble.
Biography[]
Cinderella (1950)[]
Lucifer is a henchman of sorts toLady Tremaine (at least, he views himself as one) - as they are actually neglectful and enabling, making him something of a villain by proxy. Still, the role of henchman becomes more pronounced in the direct-to-video sequels in which Lady Tremaine gains access to the Fairy Godmother's magic wand and transforms Lucifer into a twisted version of a coachman with an evil laugh. His final attempt on their lives comes to naught and he is cast into the water, reverting to his cat form.
Years later, Lucifer has grown into a obese big cat, mainly due to excess eating, sleeping, and a complete lack of exercise. When Cindrella awakens one morning to begin doing her chores, she awakens Lucifer to feed him, per orders that he is to be fed before the rest of the Tremaines. Once in the kitchen, Lucifer to tries to get rid ofCinderella's dog Bruno by scratching sneakily and painfully without Cinderella noticing. Bruno then growls threateningly and loudly out of pain and anger, and Lucifer lets out a exaggerated and bengin fake scream as if Bruno "scrathed" him. Cinderella heard Lucifer's fake screech and blames Bruno, bitterly berating him to go outside and prevent causing trouble. Back at the kitchen, Lucifer creates a wide wicked grin, but is also get told off by Cinderella for not getting along better with Bruno. He later lazily drinks from the milk bowl where Cinderella left for him while sourly frowning, untilJaq makes a distraction to lure him away from the other mice, in order to create a path to getting their breakfast. While returning with the mice,Gus struggles with carrying his load and easily gets Lucifer's attention. Unexpectedly, and fortunately, Cinderella enters the room and accidnetally takes Gus away on he breakfast trays for Lady Tremaine and her daughters. Lucifer manages to grab him again, but Cinderella forces him to let Gus leave soon afterwards.
However, his pleasure turns to dismay when Lady Tremaine orders Cinderella to give him a bath, as, for being a cat, he dislike water or baths.
Cinderella II: Dreams Come True[]
Lucifer returns for the sequel as a supporting antagonist.

The true name of The Devil of Biblical tradition was originally Lucifer, which is what Lucifer's name is based on. This was obviously done to reflect on Lucifer's villainous personality.
In some books, it is hinted that Lucifer may have had something to do in the death ofCinderella's father, as the books say that he was allergic to cats, which in turn solidifies more the theory that Lady Tremaine could have been responsible for his death.
InKingdom Hearts, when he is hit by a ball of string, he speaks, saying "Ow!" He did not speak in his original incarnation at all.
In the sequels, they made him have the same hiss as a real cat instead of that scary growl hiss like the one that he let out at Gus when he had the corn from the chicken in the breakfast scene.
Lucifer is a member of Disney's Sinister Cats, a sub-franchise of the mainline Disney Villains Franchise.
Interestingly enough,Cheshire Cat in the Disney featureAlice In Wonderland would feature a body design that looks nearly identical to Lucifer, and the two both share yellow eyes.
