| ~ Klaw |
Ulysses Klaw is a major antagonist in theMarvel Universe, specifically serving as the secondary antagonist of theBlack Panther franchise and a major antagonist in theFantastic Four andAvengers franchises.
He was a physicist working on a device that converted sound waves into physical matter, but needed a metal called Vibranium to complete it. He attacked Black Panther's village, as they had a supply of it, and decimated the tribe with his sound weaponry, but Black Panther turned his own weapon on him, shattering Klaw's hand.
Klaw sought revenge and made a sonic glove weapon that he replaced his hand. He attacked Black Panther again, and was defeated by the Panther and the Fantastic Four. Frustrated, he leaped into his own sound converter, and was transformed into a being made of living sound. With his new powers he could project and shape sound-waves and was virtually indestructible.
He is also one of the three archenemies of T'Challa/Black Panther, (alongsideErik Killmonger andMan-Ape), and his most recurring villain as the heavy since his killing of his father cause T'challa to become the Black Panther in the first place. He has joined several villain organizations, including theMasters of Evil and theFrightful Four.
Klaw was created by the late Stan Lee and the late Jack Kirby.

This version of Klaw is a skilled and fearless assassin who had successfully killed T'chaka during his mission to connect with the outside world. When he did a young T'challa managed to injure him and he ran. Since he had government contacts they used advanced science to repair his body and turned his injured parts into machinery, including a mechanical shapeshifting claw. Wishing to exploit Wakanda, Klaw assembles a team of supervillains includingBatroc,Juggernaut,Radioactive Man, Cannibal, and Black Knight to colonize it. It's shown that one of Klaw's ancestors who was a European imperialist was killed by the Black Panther then which explains his grudge. He uses Black Knight and Juggernaut to lay siege to Wakanda while he, Radioactive Man, and Batroc infiltrated the king's castle and vibranium mine. Radioactive Man uses his powers to nearly cause an Earthquake in the mine strong enough to destroy the nation, and Klaw demonstrates technopathy by hacking Wakanda's defense system. Black Panther fights Black Knight, causing him to drop his sword into the mine where Shuri uses it to kill Radioactive Man. He eventually confronts Klaw and stabs him.
2010 Marvel Animated Universe[]
This version of Klaw is a retcon. He appears inUltimate Spiderman as an occassional villain and member of the Frightful Four in his sonic design but inAvengers Assemble as his MCU design. He is seen raiding Wakanda for vibranium and discovers how to make sonic clones of himself by amplifying his powers with the vibranium. It's also seen that vibranium in large amounts can attract to him, and transforms him into a monster made out of vibranium. He is defeated by theThunderbolts and Avengers and returns as he infiltrates Wakanda, but is defeated again by Black Panther as he was many times. Klaw reappears in Season 5 as one of the Shadow Council members, working with the cult to overthrow Black Panther.
