Biography[]
Guy of Gisborne was theSheriff of Nottingham's cousin and one of his minions.
He first encountered Robin of Loxley while chasing a boy named Wolf, who had been hunting for deer on Loxley lands, which the Sheriff had claimed as his own. Loxley protected Wolf from Guy and his men. After thoroughly drubbing Guy and his men, Loxley told Guy to warn the sheriff what happened when the sheriff's men picked on children.
Guy and the sheriff next encountered Loxley at the Hereford cathedral, where the sheriff angrily told Loxley that he would cut his enemy's heart out with a spoon after the latter gave him a sting on the left side of his face. Afterwards, Guy asked his cousin why he would use a spoon, to which the sheriff caustically responded that since it was dull it would hurt more.
After failing to stop a raid from Robin Hood and his merry men, Guy was killed by the Sheriff, who remarked that at least he didn't use a spoon to dispatch Sir Guy.
