Craig Black is one of the two targets (alongsideBrother Akram) and the main antagonist in mission The Author, the second mission inHITMAN: Patient Zero. He is a renowned author ofCanssandra Snow fame, and one of the sleeper agents of the doomsday cult "Liberation".
He is voiced by Timothy Watson.
Biography[]
Craig Black is the renowned, conflicted author behind the enormously successfulCassandra Snow: New England Wiccan three years ago, which was published after a number of widely ignored noir science-fiction novels. Wealthy and successful, he harbors a deep-seated frustration at not being taken seriously.
Later, Black was seduced toOybek Nabazov's cult while researching a book on the seductive nature of cults, where his professional frustration turned murderous. Black stated that he despised Cassandra Snow series he had written and the fame that brought upon him, and claimed he would be and should be remembered by the world with his bio-terrorism attack, with his renowned book series would be forgotten after his death.
After Nabazov's death, Black worked with Brother Akram and used his upcoming cassiecon in Sapienza, Italy as a chance to release Nabazov's virus and kill everyone at the scene. 47 was sent by Diana to kill both of them and retrieve the virus sample.
Ironically, even after his death, the fame of Cassandra Snow series boosted. According to news report, it drew more works and developed into a franchise, with new works including an original sequel movie made specifically in memory of Black, who earned even more fame posthumously with the very same work he tried to destroy. His crimes are never revealed to the public, who see him as an innocent victim of an unfortunate death.
Personality[]
Craig Black is high strung and bitter, having little patience or care for those around him while being desperate to find some calling in life, no matter how disturbing it may be. He's also likely slightly psychotic, being willing to murder many innocents, most likely children, just so he can have something else to be famous for. He has a deep hatred for his writing and his fans, sounding bored out of his mind anytime he is involved with the Cassandra Snow novels. His reaction to obtaining the virus is only slightly short of relief.
