Polluters are villains who commitcrimes against the environment, whether it be out of disrespect and/or greed (such asimmoral businessmen/corrupt officials). Or are suffering fromDelusions (someFanatics orCultists). Or genuine malice (somesupervillains and/orDark Lords). Either way, they are often anti-environmentalists. They are the opposite ofNature-Lovers.

They are the opposite ofEco-Terrorists, who commit crimes for what they see as good for the environment, though they can overlap, particularly in cases where the motives of an eco-terrorist falls from well-intentioned, yet morally questionable behavior to eventual deliberate maliciousness for personal gain.
