Carl, or as he insists on calling himself,Carl the Evil Cockroach Wizard is one of the two main antagonists (alongsideNight Master) ofYin Yang Yo!. He is an evil cockroach wizard who is obstinate on acquiring world domination and defeating Yin, Yang, Master Yo and the power of the Woo Foo with his insecure genius.

He was voiced by Jamie Watson.

Biography[]

Carl is an evil cockroach wizard who lives with his overbearing dragon mother Edna, and has an ant brother namedHerman, who he tries to outdo at every opportunity. He has plotted for world domination all so he can earn his mother's love, but Yin and Yang keep standing in his way. Despite his envy for Herman, they have occasionally worked together effectively against Yin and Yang. In the episode "Mission Yinpossible", it's shown that despite his desire for world domination, deep down Carl just wants his mother's love, which he gives up once she suffocates him with it. A bit of a priss, it was shown in "Get Off My Back" that he is an excellent cook, and a great groomer.

A running gag is that Carl seems to have a thing for blocking out the Sun anywhere, an idea which Herman steals from him. When theNight Master announces his plan to block out the Sun, Carl considers his idea stolen, much to his dismay.

For all his flaws, Carl is on his own a talented wizard and genius, only being overshadowed by Herman, his mother and other villains. He is also shown to be a great cook and a great groomer in "Get Off My Back".

Powers and Abilities[]

Despite being largely incompetent, Carl is in fact a highly skilled sorcerer, stronger than Yin and Yang when they are separate, but when he gets criticized by someone else, he loses his focus. As demonstrated in "Night Fall", he can wipe out a good portion of the Night Master's army all by himself. In "Yin Yang Carl", when Master Yo is temporally in Carl's body, it's also revealed that Carl can defeat Herman in a fight.
