Jackson Weele, better known asBig Wheel, is a minor antagonist inSpider-Man: The Animated Series, serving as the main antagonist of the episodeRocket Racer.

He is a thief and leader of the Rocket Raiders who rides a big wheel and is indirectly responsible forRobert Farrell becoming the Rocket Racer.

He was voiced byMichael Des Barres, who also voicedKano inMortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm.

Biography[]

He was an aeronautical engineer for the government, but for reasons unknown left that to and go into business for himself, becoming the leader of a group of high-tech called the Rocket Raiders, while operated in giant monowheel. He is first seen riding his big wheel, and breaking into his bank, with his men robbing it, Spider-Man tries to stop him and his men, but they get away, later, his men steal cash from Mrs. Farrell, threatening to burn down her grocery store if they do pay them ten times the money they take from register for protection.

Later that Mrs. Farrell's son, Robert, followed one Weele's men back to the Rocket Raiders hideout, after bumping him coming out from a jewelry store. As Weele was congratulating his men on a successful bank heist the previous night and was planning their next job, Robert sneaks in and steals some of Weele's equipment, unaware he was recorded on camera. After discovering what Robert had done, Weele was determined to get his technology back, as he feared that the police might make Robert reveal to them where he got the technology.

Weele first sends some of his men after Robert, but Spider-Man is able to defeat all of them. Weele then got inside of his giant wheel, chasing Robert down, intending to crush him in order to get his technology back. however, Robert spotted a downed power line and knows it could be used to disrupt his wheel, so he lures Weele over to the power line, and Spider-Man uses it on his wheel, causing it to go out of control and crash into the water. Spider-Man saved Weele before he drowned and he is later arrested by the police.
