WWE‘s wrestlers are set to go on another adventure with theScooby-Doo gang.
After “Scooby-Doo! WrestleMania” sold well on homevideo platforms earlier this year,WWE Studios and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will reteam on a sequel that’s set to be released in the spring of 2016,Variety has learned.
The film will be produced by WWE Studios and Warner Bros. Animation.
Details of the project are being kept under wraps. However,Hulk Hogan will be prominently featured in the cast of characters. Hogan returned to WWE in February, and hosted “WrestleMania 30,” in New Orleans to much fanfare.

As is the case with its other film projects, WWE will promote the next “Scooby-Doo” pic on its TV shows, websites, at live events and across its social media channels.

In addition to “Scooby-Doo,” WWE is also working with Warner Bros. on an animated “Flintstones” project that also will feature its lineup of wrestlers, includingJohn Cena. “The Flintsones & WWE: Stone Age SmackDown” will be released in spring 2015.
The “WrestleMania”-themed “Scooby-Doo” pic featured Cena, Triple H, Kane, the Miz, Brodus Clay, Santino Marella, Sin Cara, AJ and company chief Vince McMahon as characters, with the talent lending their voices.
When the first film was announced in 2012, the project was seen as a way for Warner Bros. to breathe new life into its long running franchise, while enabling WWE to get its roster of wrestlers in front of a young audience in a new way.
Warner Bros. has other plans for the Scooby-gang too, with the studio looking to reboot the film franchise on the big screen with a series of live action movies.
