Filmax will distribute in Spain and handle international sales, kicking off at AFM.

Pantelion is also negotiating with Filmax to take rights to Latin America.

Skedded to go into production in Barcelona next February, “Summer Camp” centers on three American camp counselors who show up for their summer jobs at an English-language camp in Spain and come face-to-face with a virus unlike anything seen before. “We’re pleased to be working with Jaume Balaguero, Filmax and the Safran Company to bring this bone-chilling horror film to an American audience,” Paul Presburger, Pantelion Films’ CEO, said.

“This is a great boost for Filmax’s drive to produce big international commercial films out of Spain which do not depend, however, on Spanish financing, diminishing risk by significant pre-sales,” said Ivan Diaz, Filmax sales head.
