‘Noon’ ACEs with editors

'CSI,' 'Sopranos,' 'West Wing' tapped in TV category

“Shanghai Noon,” overlooked so far in awards season, scored a nomination in the feature comedy/musical category of the ACE Eddie Awards, announced Tuesday, along with “Almost Famous,” “Best in Show,” “Chocolat” and “O Brother,Where Art Thou?”

High-profile candidates took the nods for feature drama, with “Billy Elliot,” “Cast Away,” “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon,” “Gladiator” and “Traffic” tapped.

The American Cinema Editors will announce Eddie winners in seven categories Feb. 25 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
