Awarded for the first time in 2018, theExcellence Award in Scientific Research of the University of Porto aims to recognise U.Porto's teachers and researchers, who stand out for excellence and impact in their scientific production.

Promoted by the Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, this award appreciates and encourages the efforts made within the U.Porto research ecosystem to create knowledge, raise funding for scientific research activities and production of scientific publications.
