I liked the shotgun mechanic. It's very suitable for a horror game because when you're in a panic, even with three buttons it can be confusing. I also suggested making it so the player can pull the pump even if the shotgun is already loaded, players will panic, get confused and unload ammo for nothing. Although it would be nice to have the ability to pick up unlоad ammo later if you still managed to survive. I would also suggest removing the bat and instead giving the player an unloaded shotgun at the very beginning that they can use as a melee weapon until they find ammo. It could be interesting as a game where you only have one gun, but with enough depth to not get boring.
Game was pretty good. It has some great ambience and sound design already, though it was fairly clunky and barebones. The charger bug that pushed me through a wall and made me have to restart the game twice was not great, and the way the player character would get stuck on walls was also quite annoying. Still, with that out the way, I would still say that this was fun to play and I love me some reloading mechanics.
