Ken sims:

There is no known fault at theCroydetransmitter and no one else has made any comments about problems with BBC 1 or BBC 2.

It is more likely that either you have too muchsignal, or too little signal , on thosechannels. The signal strength needs to be between 60% and 85%, any more or less will give the symptoms you state. Else you may have problems with the cables and connections.

Please check that youraerial cables and connections are in good order. Unplug each of the plugs in the feed and re-insert them into their sockets - corrosion/oxidation of the contacts can often cause the symptoms described.

Retuning does not help regain lost channels so please don't retune. Please also check that you are tuned to the correct channels. Put your post code into theDigital UK Coverage Checker atDigital UK - Coverage checker and scroll to the listing for the Croyde transmitter. That will tell you the channels being used. It will also tell you what aerial group you need, most people now need awideband type, and when any future changes are expected.

BBCchannels are fine along with hidesitv3 4 &5 channels like film 4 still breaking up all this since the storm when the lot went
Some are saying it's not theCroydetransmitter but the feedersignal at fault
Signal strength on bbc and film 4 are the same so no lack of power just a fault with the sent signal?

Ken:

Can't find any faults reported at present, doesn't mean there is one BUT theCroyderelay is fed off-air fromCaradon Hill which has plannedengineering work at present, so this could be the cause of the problem.
Do NOT retune. You cannot tune to signals that aren't there or cannot be decoded, it will often just clear the correct tuning.

As you haveSignal Strength figures, do you haveQuality figures as well? If so, are these 100% for eachmultiplex's UHFchannels? For Croyde they areC44,C41 &C47.
Do check that you are tuned to C41 which is the one for the PSB2/D3&4 multiplex that carries ITV, 4, 5 etc.
