Tropes:

• Acoustic License: Characters can hear each other perfectly in noisy settings.
• Acrofatic: An obese character is able to fight well in spite of being overweight.
• Advantage Ball: One side briefly gains an absolute advantage, usually due to high morale.
• Air Jousting: Duel between two flying combatants, involving jousting-like head-on attacks.
• All Your Colors Combined: A team with acolor scheme performs aCombined Energy Attack, the merged elements creating a rainbow attack.
• Alpha Strike: Attacking a target with everything you have, all at once.
• Animal Maul Attack: An animalistic attacker takes the target to the ground and mauls them for damage.
• Annoying Arrows: Arrows in media are nonlethal and easily removed.
• Apologetic Attacker: Someone apologizes to the person they are attacking.
• Armed Females, Unarmed Males: Men fight unarmed, women use weapons.
• Armored, but Frail: A character has good defence but poor health.
• Armored Coffins: Vehicles with no safety or escape features, guaranteeing the pilot's death if the vehicle is disabled.
• Attack Animal: A creature trained to fight alongside its handler.
• Attack! Attack! Attack!: Offense is the only acceptable form of combat.
• Attack! Attack... Retreat! Retreat!: A situation forces an immediate reversal.
• Attacking Through Yourself: Deliberately attacking through your body to hit an opponent.
• Attack Pattern Alpha: Codeword/phrase that directs forces in battle.
• Attack Reflector: A defensive maneuver that sends an opponent's attacks back to them.
• Backup Bluff: Threatening someone with backup that doesn't exist.
• Badass Army: ABadass Crew, but larger.
• Badass Minds Think Alike: Two characters form a perfect fighting team off each other despite no time to plan.
• Bare Hands Barely Hurt: Your ability to punch deals damage that is grossly inferior to even the weakest weapons.
• Battle Aura:Awesomeness Is a Force that forms a glowing aura around the wielder.
• Battle Chant: The troops/team begin chanting before combat begins.
• Battle Cry: An exclamation used by a character to declare combat.
  • Remember the Alamo: TheBattle Cry is a reminder of past atrocities.
• Battle Strip: Removing clothing before a fight.
• Battle Trophy: Taking a piece or iconic belonging of your fallen foe to remember your triumph against them.
• Beastly Bloodsports: Animals fighting humans or other animals to the death for sport; usually portrayed as uncivilized or villainous.
• Beast of Battle: Animals are weaponized.
• Beat the Curse Out of Him: Exorcism through physical violence.
• Begin with a Finisher: Using your strongest ability at the start of a fight.
• Berserker Tears: Tears of rage.
• Big Ball of Violence: When two or more people get into a squabble, they become a huge ball of smoke with fists and feet repeatedly poking out.
• Big Fish in a Bigger Ocean:Strong and Skilled in their own world, average (or below average) in this new one.
• The Blade Always Lands Pointy End In: When a blade falls, it lands pointy end down.
• Blocking Stops All Damage: Blocking literally negates damage, even if it's physically nonsensical.
• Blood Upgrade: Bleeding from being hit serves as a Berserk Button.
• Bloody Murder: Blood used as a weapon.
• Bludgeoned to Death: Death by brutal, repeated blunt-force trauma.
• Boarding Party: Attacking a boat by jumping/swinging overboard in cool, pirate style.
• Boxing Battler: Professional boxing is a viable fighting style in the setting.
• The Boxing Episode: An episode based around boxing.
• Brutal Brawl:Fight Scenes characterized by their brutality.
• Catching the Speedster: A fast character gets tagged.
• Challenging the Chief: A societal ritual challenge that determines the person who's powerful enough to lead.
• Chaos While They're Not Looking: Alice walks out, Bob and Charlie are trying to kill each other. Alice walks back in and Bob and Charlie act friendly. Alice is none the wiser.
• Chase Fight: AChase Scene meets aFight Scene.
• Chevalier vs. Rogue: Two opposing characters/factions, one with a knightly theme and another with a roguish one.
• Childish Pillow Fight: A pillow fight is used to highlight innocence and immaturity.
• Choke Holds: Wrapping your hands/arm around someone's neck to kill or incapacitate.
• Combat Aestheticist: A character who takes delight in the elegance of combat.
• Combat by Champion: The outcome of a conflict is decided by a duel between representatives of each side.
• Combat Commentator: A character who narrates during aFight Scene.
• Combat Compliment: A character in a fight genuinely compliments the fighting prowess of their opponent.
