COLLINGWOOD DISTRICT MINOR PREMIERS.
Thc programme of home and 1iomn matches was
concluded on Saturday, and resulted in Colling-
wood District .securing the hotiora of minor pre
miers for the first time since their adniitdon
to the Metropolitan ranks. Their form hau been
most consistent throughout tlie season, and with
the ext ent ion of one game against South Yarra
early in the season "they have won all the others.
A usual, the Leopold have been strongly repre
sented, but Beverley, lust year's premiers, suf
fered severe losses of players to League clubs
this year, and only seven of tlie last year's pre
mier team will take the field next Saturday
in the semi-final game against Collingwood. Fitz
roy District began the . season rather badly, bnt
made great strides later, aud have only missed
fourth place. The semi-final games next Satur
day will bo Collingwood District v. Beverley and
South Y.arr.i v. Leopold. One game will take
place on the Richmond ground and the other on
the Melbourne Cricket Ground before the com
mencement of the League scrm-fiiml.
