EUTOPIA TRAIN sponsored academic innovation with societal impact: it aimed tointegrate pan-EUTOPIA research and innovation communities and structures and open them to society, businesses, students, and policymakers. On July 24, 2020, theEUTOPIA TRAIN initiative was awarded funding under theHorizon 2020 call Support for the Research and Innovation Dimension of European Universities (SwafS). The six initial EUTOPIA European Universities launched the project. The project ended in December 2023, and its main outputs were integrated into the EUTOPIA Alliance core project.
