Mattel Will Bring the ‘Toy Story 5’ Toys to Life
The Toy Story franchise is celebrating a 30th anniversary and a new film.
Mattel Inc. will renew its multi-year globallicensing agreement withDisney for newToy Storyproducts. This agreement celebrates the 30th anniversary ofToy Story and the anticipated release ofToy Story 5, which is set to premiere in the summer of 2026.
The deal extends Mattel’s licensing rights toToy Storyproducts, includingaction figures,vehicles, radio control (RC),games, andplush.
Some products commemorating the 30th anniversary of the classic animation are already available for sale. Products relating to the upcomingToy Story 5 will be released next year to coincide with the film’s release.

In 2026, Mattel will release action figures inspired by the upcoming movie and launch aToy Story 5-themed edition of UNO. Additionally, Mattel will introduce a new line of Toy Storyplush toys and RC products. The Little People and Imaginext lines will include Toy Story characters.
Throughout the many years of Disney’s collaboration with Mattel, fans have taken their imagination and love for 'Toy Story' characters to infinity and beyond through the magic of play.
