Liis Lemsalu is an Estonian singer, born on 20 October 1992 in Pärnu, Estonia. She rose to fame after winning the fourth season of Eesti otsib superstaari, Estonia's version of Pop Idol. After winning, Liis went on tour and released the single ‘Kõnnime seda teed’ together with Artem Savitski, the runner-up. She then signed a contract with Universal Music Group. Lemsalu performed well at Eesti Laul, the national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. Her best performance was ‘Made Up My Mind’, where she placed 5th in the final out of 10 in 2012. Her most popular song is ‘Sinu Ees’ (‘In Front of You’ in English), which had 2.1 million subscribers on YouTube in 2017, twice the population of her home country, Estonia. Personal life:Lemsalu studied at Tallinn Nõmme Gymnasium (Tallinn Nõmme Gymnasium). She is the daughter of the famous Estonian footballer Marek Lemsalu.
