Science Olympiad
The Science Olympiad is an international nonprofit organization devoted to improving the quality of science education, increasing student interest in science, and providing recognition for outstanding achievement in science education by both students and teachers. Teams of 15 students develop teamwork and problem-solving throughout the year in preparation for each event. Traditionally, middle and high school teams initially compete in one-day regional tournaments held at several locations throughout Tennessee.
2025 Tennessee State Science Olympiad
The top teams from each division advance to the state tournament at the University of Tennessee. The state tournament is scheduled forSaturday,April 5, 2025. The winning team in each division will advance to the National Tournament, which will be held May 23-24, 2025 at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
2024 State Tournament Results
The 2024 Tennessee State Science Olympiad hosted the top 40 Division B and Division C teams at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, on Saturday, April 6, 2024.
