Olympus Rupes

About this image
Olympus Mons is surrounded by an escarpment, a steep cliff-face between the volcano and the surrounding lava flows. The escarpment is called Olympus Rupes, and today's VIS image show part of this feature on the northeastern side of Olympus Mons.
