Thetacon is one of the older cities onCybertron and home to theThetacon tribe ofTransformers.
In the wake of Cybertron's revival,Sentinel Prime and his followers were invited to Thetacon to recover from their mission. While Sentinel Prime withdrew from public to make plans for Cybertron's near future, his followers roamed the city, planning their own immediate future as they admired their surroundings or questioning their use now that Cybertron was drifting into an era of peace.
By the end of the first day since theAllSpark had been restored, Sentinel Prime calledOptimus to him to inform him of his decision to make him the ruler of the united planet.Foundation #1 Optimus declined, believing there were ways in which he could help Cybertron flourish better. Sentinel Prime accepted his decision, and that would've been the end of it hadMegatron not overheard the whole conversation. The next morning, he talked about it withShockwave while the two flew along the outskirts of Thetacon. Their conversation was interrupted by a scream for help coming from the ground below, where a class ofhatchlings on an educational trip were being attacked by asubterranean monster. The two chased away the creature, meetingStarscream, the hatchlings' guard, in the process.Foundation #2
Thetacon neighbored the city ofTesarus.Safe Spaces The city was home to theCyclonus Memorial Tower, headquarters of theGladiatorial Administration Bureau. By the early 25th century C.E., its buildings had become dilapidated as was the case all across Cybertron.Broken Windshields During theGrand Uprising, it became one of the many battlefronts across Cybertron as theResistance sought to capture theBuilder city.Safe Spaces Though the42nd Division were assigned to the city, they fell to thePack as the advancing Resistance overran the city.Derailment
