Saved from the fires of "Category:Things that don't exist".
Stripes is little more than an animal. Anitrotiger native toCybertron, Stripes was taken in, trained, and given the ability to transform. As part of his "evolution", he was outfitted with a battle harness that contains an AI that carries out offensive and defensive maneuvers... whether Stripes desires it or not.[1]

Toys
Encore

Probably a better name for a tiger than
Tigatron.
- ID number:22
- Accessories: Left & right cannons, cassette case
- Encore "Cybertron Stripes" is an orange, silver, and black tiger-basedredeco ofRavage, included withEncoreTwincast andNightstalker. He getsSteeljaw's weapons in gold chrome (rather than the orange color featured in promotional photos). As was the case with most of the other cassettes packed with Twincast's other releases, Stripes sports a different sticker in place of his cassette spool image; an image ofScorponok which reveals the city-bot's weak spots when viewed through Twincast's clear-red chest door (in the same wayTech Spec decoders work).
- This toy was also used to makeHowlback andGlit.
Titans Return

Changes from tiger, to
Hooligan, to Roy Horn's iPad and back!
- Autobot Stripes (Legends Class, 2016)
- "Autobot Stripes" is part of the first wave ofTitans Return Legends Class toys. He features three modes: "tiger", spy tablet, and jet. His beast mode features a sort of mane on the back of his neck, suggesting that he may have been sculpted as aSteeljaw toy before being given a new identity forRobots in Disguise-related reasons. His spy tablet mode features a non-functioning 3.5mm headphone socket, and can fit inside the chest compartment ofTitans ReturnAutobot Blaster or his retoolSoundwave. In jet mode, he features a pair of posts to allow aTitan Master to securely stand on top. Like all Legends Class spy tablets, his stickers are prone to coming off at the edges, particularly in the areas that require transformation such as the wings.
- This mold was retooled intoRavage andBumblebeeHowlback. Stripes was a commonly-foundshelfwarmer of theTitans Return line alongside fellow Legends ClassAutobot Rewind.
Masterpiece

If Ravage were in
Generation 2.
- Cassettbot VS Cassettron (Multi-pack,2017)
- ID number:MP-15/16E
- Release date:December 23, 2017
- Accessories: Pink tape case
- Issued in a limited edition "Encore"Masterpiece set available fromTakaraTomy Mall, along withNightstalker,Wingthing, andEnemy, "Cybertron Stripes" is a retool and redeco ofMasterpieceJaguar. Aside from the color scheme changes to suit the character's tiger theme, the weapon detail on the back legs has been remolded to resemble the gold weapons theEncore version "borrowed" from Steeljaw.
- If purchased from a seller supplied by Hasbro Asia, the set includes acollector coin, featuring Enemy's face on one side and the Autobot logo and names of all the included characters on the opposite side. The coin is mounted in a card resembling a cassette, similar to the cards housing the coins for MP-15 and MP-16, but styled like Enemy's cassette mode on the "A" side, while the "B" side resembles Stripes's cassette mode.[2]
Collaborative

We liked him before he was popular.
- J. Balvintron / Energia Buzzsaw & Vibras Stripes (2021)
- Accessories: Left & right missiles
- Known designers:Mark Maher (Hasbro)[3]
- The eighth release in theCollaborative line, "Vibras Stripes" is an admittedly slight redeco of his originalEncore release; it is largely the same on the "robot" side of the toy, with the same tiger-stipe patterns as before, but the "cassette" side is now mostly blank, with a pair of googly eyes and an offset pair of teeth tampographed on, in line with the cover art for J. Balvin'sVibras album. He also comes with gold versions of Ravage's missiles as opposed to Steeljaw's cannons.
- Vibras is the Spanish word for "vibes", in case you were wondering.
- He was only available packaged withJ. Balvintron andEnergia Buzzsaw. This set was exclusive to theNTWRK app, with pre-orders beginning onJuly 13, 2021 and shipping in November of that year.

Notes

How long until Cubbie, Stinger and Bolts have toys?

"Nudes" just wasn't considered as marketable.
- Stripes originated in an early draft forThe Transformers: The Movie, where he was released out of Blaster's chest to combat theDecepticon Mini-Cassettes during theBattle of Autobot City. Stripes would have snapped atRatbat, scaring him. In the finished movie,Ramhorn replaced Stripes in battling Ratbat. Since he was written out of his only intended appearance before publication, he is among the most obscure established characters to ever be given a toy—and that's saying something when he's coming out alongsidea one-shot prose-only UK character anda decapitated radio. He held that record untilSolarbot came around in2013.
- Stripes was originally designed to be aSmilodon, orsaber-toothed cat. Ironically, it is generally believed that real-lifeSmilodon had either plain coats or spots, not stripes.
- His function is "Battle Beast" (戦闘獣Sentō Jū).
- Both Stripes'sEncore andMasterpiece bios state his species as a nitrotiger, while hisTitans Return bio says he's a cybertiger.
