Some cycles before the Autobots and Decepticons returned toCybertron, Skullcruncher found his way into the depths of the inactiveIaconus.Maccadam let him stay to keep out the "riff-raff".
During theQuintessons' occupation of Cybertron, Skullcruncher attackedPerceptor, making him lose an arm in the process. As Perceptor met up with his comrades in search of Iaconus' cloaking module, Skullcruncher secretly followed them before attackingClobber. Using the techniques they honed in the training simulation, the other Cybertronians freed Clobber and escaped Skullcruncher. He later made one last lunge at the intruders only to get smacked by Maccadam, send him running off.The Citizen
After the Titan's cloak was deactivated, Skullcruncher battled a horde ofSharkticons andProsecutors alongsideGrimlock,Alpha Strike, andKup, during which he let the latter hitch a ride on his back.The Judge

- The sole figure released in the eighth wave ofCyberverse Ultra figures, Skullcruncher transforms into a robotic crocodile. His tail has a flip-out blade to become a hand-held sword in robot mode. In robot mode, his energon armor gimmick flips a large crocodile-head-helmet over his robot head, with his robot face peeking out of the mouth. The energon helmet has an articulated jaw that can open via a tab on the back.
- Like most latter-waveCyberverse Ultras, Skullcruncher boasts a greater level of articulation than most figures in the same toyline.
- Skullcruncher was released twice: First in 2020 under theBumblebee: Cyberverse Adventures subline imprint, and then again in 2021 in the line's finalDinobots Unite subline imprint packaging refresh.

- Skullcruncher's design is heavily inspired by hisGeneration 1 counterpart'sTitans Returntoy.
- Though Skullcruncher lacks a faction insignia in the cartoon, the toyline and concept artwork identify him as a Decepticon.
- Cyberverse writerMae Catt referred to Skullcruncher as female during an online Q&A,[1] but the character is identified as male by Maccadam within the show itself ("He snuck in here a few millennia ago...").
- According to Catt, Skullcruncher works as the bouncer in Maccadam's after Perceptor took over the bar.
