My name is WAY cooler than yours.

Like his fellow Terrorcons,Sinnertwin (akaTwinstrike[1]) is a horrific insult to nature itself. Sinnertwin frequently patrols the Terrorcons' lair with the hope of finding anything unfortunate enough to be alive in his presence. Then comes the killing, and what with his multiple heads and sadistic nature, this is not something one would like to witness. Ironically, he's terrified of small creatures.Yes, evenmice.

Sinnertwin isn't known for his loyalty to the wider Decepticon cause, and has been known to work alongside theQuintessons in tandem with his direct teammates.[2] The other Terrorcons generally appreciate his enthusiasm for destruction but can grow frustrated from his impatient demeanor.

Sinnertwin can combine with his fellow Terrorcons to formAbominus.

He has the most awesome name in Transformer history. No matter whatSlayride says.

Rip Autobots! Rr, rip and tear!

"I've fought bigger monsters than you, you two-headed lizard!"
"I've fought stronger Autobots than you, you four-wheeled vehicle!"

Sinnertwin, along with the rest of the Terrorcons, was first encountered when the Autobots went toUnicron's head to stop Galvatron from acquiringanti-electrons. During the battle, his two heads argued with each other over which one would get to take on a particular Autobot; he menacedKup, who claimed to have fought bigger monsters than Sinnertwin. When the Terrorcons seemed successful in overpowering the Autobots, Grimlock ran off and quickly created theTechnobots. Meeting these new opponents, the Terrorcons formed into Abominus and fought the Technobots' merged form ofComputron. Unfortunately for them, the highly intelligent Autobotgestalt defeated Abominus by vibrating, forcing Abominus to separate back into his component Terrorcons.Grimlock's New Brain

He and the other Terrorcons aided theQuintessons when they were dealing with smugglerDirk Manus for a secret weapon. The Quintessons had installed a timer to regulate their activity as Abominus. When Hun-Gurrr complained that he was hungry, Sinnertwin suggested that he "rip metal" and "eat food". Hun-Gurrr, naturally enough, decided that those were fightin' words, and the two scuffled. Later, Sinnertwin used his two heads to prevent Marissa Fairborne from escaping. Shortly afterwards, the Terrorcons merged to counter the threat of the newly repaired Technobots. Computron defeated them again, this time by shorting out that timer to separate Abominus back into the individual Terrorcons.Money Is Everything

Fighting alongside Galvatron once again, Sinnertwin was one of thePrimitives summoned to fightTornedron, abandoning a battle on Earth's moon to answer the call of a mysterious voice from space. Sinnertwin joined the other Terrorcons in a last-ditch stand against the energy creature, but the group was surrounded and drained of their energy. They, like the rest of Tornedron's victims, were restored thanks to Grimlock's actions.Call of the Primitives

Hun-Gurrr leftRippersnapper and Sinnertwin in charge of the hostages, while he took the other Terrorcons to finish planting the charges. Inactivity weighs heavily on Sinnertwin, and if he's not ravaging or destroying something on a fairly regular basis he gets a little restless, and restlessness equates to going out and finding something to tear to shreds with his teeth, horns or claws.

Mayhem on any level brings him a singular pleasure, and Autobot cries and screams are music to his audio modules.

In his twin-headed dragon-like beast mode he has numerous weapons at his disposal, including a back-mounted flame cannon and internal flamethrowers that allow both heads to breathe fire.Sinnertwin Bio

The Transformers

What the hell is an Orthrus?
  • Sinnertwin (Terrorcon,1987)
Released in the fourth year of Hasbro's USThe Transformers toyline (third year in Europe and in Takara'sFight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers line), Terrorcon Sinnertwin transforms into a yellow and aqua robotic two-headed dragon-ish thing. His giant "flame cannon" attaches to his beast-mode back via5 mm post, but has nowhere to go in robot mode (unless you want his beast heads just sticking way more the crap out behind him than usual).
He can form the leg or arm of anyScramble City-type combiner, though he is nominallyAbominus's left leg. He can also attach toMetroplex's robot mode.
Due to a design flaw, the gap in his chest where the head/connector-peg swings down isjust a bit too narrow, which can make the head break off at the hinge with pretty minimal effort. As such, it is highly inadvisable to use Sinnertwin as an arm.
There is a later-run variant of Sinnertwin, released in 1988, which not only lacks arubsign, but has beenretooled to fill in the indent between his beast-necks where the rubsign would have gone.
There is also a packaging variant for all four small Terrorcons, which included a random bonus Decepticon"Decoy" mini-figurine.

  • Abominus (Gift set, 1987)
  • Takara ID number:D-84
  • Accessories: "Rocket-grenade launcher", "flame cannon"
Sinnertwin was also available in a gift set with the rest of the Terrorcons. All of the Terrorcons are identical to their individual releases, although it is unknown if the versions without the rubsign indents were released in this format. (It's not terribly likely though.)

  • Twinstrike (Cyberverse Legion Class,2013)
PrimeTwinstrike wasrepurposed as the original Sinnertwin/Twinstrike by theLegends game event "Unleash the Beasts" and IDW'sWindblade series.
Part of the first wave ofPrime: Beast HuntersSeries 3Cyberverse Legion Class toys, Twinstrike transforms into a twin-headed dragon, and comes with a "Piston Hammer" which can also be used as a cannon. His dragon head hands can hold the weapon via the latter's three3 mm posts, and he and the weapon feature numerous 3mm mounting points.
Hisinstructions neglect to mention that his feet should be rotated during transformation. Also not called out in the instructions, Twinstrike combines withCyberverseHun-Gurrr,Windrazor,Predacon Rippersnapper, andBlight to formAbominus, with Twinstrike forming the left arm.
The figure suffers from adesign flaw in which the pin that holds the rotating leg armor may fall out.
His hammer accessory was also used, in varying colors, byProwl,Blight, andRot Gut. This toy wasredecoed intoGo!Garara andThe Last Knight Thrash.

  • Sinnertwin (Deluxe Class,2018)
  • TakaraTomy ID number:PP-24
  • TakaraTomy release date:August 25, 2018
  • Accessories: Blaster, Prime Armor/combiner hand, Prime Master gap filler/gun
  • Known designers:John Warden andAaron Gray (Hasbro),Marcelo Matere (packaging artist)
Released in the third (and incredibly Terrorcon-heavy) wave ofPower of the Primes Deluxes, Sinnertwin (the only member of the team to avoid the Terrorcon prefix renaming) is a heavyretool ofDinobot Snarl, transforming into a two-headed creature based on his original toy. Like allPower of the Primes Deluxe Class figures, he comes with a piece of Prime Armor that has a slot for aPrime Master (and by extension, aTitan Master,Enigma of Combination, orMatrix core) and can also function as a Combiner hand. He includes a piece to fill the gap in the armor or be held as a gun.
He can also turn into a limb for anyCombiner Wars-style combiner (or into one ofLegends Godbomber's legs), although he is meant to combine withHun-Gurrr to formAbominus. Though based on his original design, Sinnertwin's leg mode is flipped from the original toy, showcasing the beast heads in front rather than hiding them in back.

  • Hasbro ID number:TT-GS05
  • Accessories: Blaster
Initially developed by TakaraTomy,Generations Selects Sinnertwin is a more cartoon-accurate redeco of hisPower of the Primes release, featuring numerous minor changes to his color scheme. Sinnertwin features much brighter shades of yellow and greenish-blue used for his main plastic colors. His combiner peg and crotch have been changed from greenish-blue to yellow, the weird silver marking on the side of his arm has been changed to gold, and the purple spots on his robot chest have been made turquoise. Sinnertwin's yellow robot mode eyes have also been changed to the classic red Decepticon eyes.
He was only available in a massive box set of Terrorcons, along withBlot,Cutthroat,Hun-Gurrr andRippersnapper. This set was aTakaraTomy Mall exclusive in Japan, with a small-ish number imported and made for sale throughHasbro Pulse; originally slated for release onMarch 27, Abominus's release was pushed back toApril 17.

Notes

  • Sinnertwin had the working name of Two Bad.
  • UnlikeHun-Gurrr, whose two heads spoke simultaneously, Sinnertwin'salternate mode in theTransformers cartoon had two heads that spoke independently of each other and even had two different actors provide the voices. At one point, they even seemed to argue with each other over which head got to kill an Autobot. What kind of relationship these heads have with Sinnertwin's robot mode personality is unknown.
  • Sinnertwin's nominal limb placement as the left leg ofAbominus is frequently switched around withCutthroat as the right leg, due to thepackage art showing the latter configuration. Theoriginal cartoon popularized this different placement, while the mobile gameTransformers: Earth Wars depicts the original configuration from the toy instructions.

  1. "Twinstrike" was a substitute name for Sinnertwin that was technically only ever used in theTransformers Legends mobile game in 2013, because the name "Sinnertwin" was not available to Hasbro as atrademark at the time and was also used for toys of Sinnertwin'scounterpart fromTransformers: Prime at the same time. No toy ofGeneration 1 Sinnertwin was ever released under that name, and Hasbro finally got the name "Sinnertwin" back in 2018, in time for thePower of the Primes toy.
