WhenChief Burns bannedCody from being out on rescues because it was too dangerous, Cody enlisted the help ofDoc Greene to figure out a way to protect him. Doc came up with the repulsor badge, using the existing repulsor technology in Cody'shoverboard. Doc warned Cody not to leave the badge in the red zone for too long, as it could overload. Back out on missions again, Cody started small by helping change a tire, though the situation soon turned into an emergency when the concrete pipes lashed to the truck they were helping broke free and tumbled down a hill, threatening the crowd of people. Cody leaped in front of one of the pipes, where it hit the repulsor field, destroying it and savingMayor Luskey. Next he used the badge to knock down a tree, preventing an out-of-control garbage bot from crashing into a gas station. This prompted Chief Burns to confiscate the badge until Cody learned 'a little common sense.' Cody nevertheless used the badge to help saveBilly when the rest of the team proved unable. The badge then began to overload, making it so no one could come near Cody. Using neutralizing gloves made by Doc Greene and Cody's idea to move very slowly to avoid setting off the repulsor,Boulder managed to remove the badge and throw it in the air before it exploded.Rescue Boy
