"Just hand over the remote control, and no one has to die here."

Rampage is a bundle of hyper-energetic, destructive fury. He has difficulty thinking or talking for more than a short time without bursting into a wild rage and smashing everything around him. This trail of wreckage makes it easy to follow him anywhere. The only thing that really calms him down istelevision. Generally the more mindless and stupid the programming, the more enraptured and entranced he becomes. Rampage can watch music videos for hours and hours without twitching a circuit.

He and his fellow Predacons can combine to formPredaking.

There's something so satisfying about tearing into humans...

It's better to fight and die than live with the knowledge that you—oh, forget it.

AsMegatron's paranoia reached its peak,Soundwave suggested that they enlist the help of thePredacons to flush outOptimus Prime, allowing Megatron to finally defeat him. However,Shockwave called them fromCybertron, and gave the Predacon leaderRazorclaw secret orders to turn on Megatron at a crucial moment. The Predacons successfully hunted down Optimus,Prey!and when Megatron arrived, as Shockwave ordered, they turned on him. Razorclaw and Rampage had been both tasked with distracting Megatron, and did so by feigning their final attack against Optimus. Both Predacons leaped over the Autobot and ran off into nearby woods, leaving Megatron too flabbergasted to noticeTantrum andHeadstrong before they tackled him down. After learning of Shockwave and the Predacons' betrayal, Megatron summoned aspace bridge to Cybertron to escape, but Prime flung them both through the bridge before it had fully materialized....The Harder They Die!

A short time later, Shockwave heard explosions near the Decepticons'Wyoming base and fearing Megatron had returned, he took a squad of Decepticons including Rampage to meet him. Instead they found thetime travelingGalvatron attacking some Autobots. Deciding that Galvatron posed the greater threat, Shockwave ordered Rampage and the others to attack and unwilling to harm his future troops, Galvatron retreated.Fallen AngelFortunately for Rampage and the other Predacons, when Megatron returned for real, he had lost his memory of their assassination attempt whenStraxus attempted to take over his body.Resurrection!

On returning to Cybertron, the Predacons were surprised when Shockwave contactedRazorclaw with orders to travel to Earth and kill Megatronagain. Disguised asAutobots, they attacked Megatron when he was alone and Rampage managed to claw off a portion of Megatron's helmet with his opening volley. Despite his injuries and their ability to merge into Predaking, Megatron sent the Predacons packing.Gone but Not Forgotten!Later,Divebomb complained that he was bored of life on Earth, so the Predacons demolished ahuman circus to cheer him up. TheDinobotformerly known as Divebomb saw aTV news report about the attack and upon recognising his former sparring partner tracked down the Predacons. This sparked a brawl between the Dinobots and the Predacons during which Rampage got the upper hand overSludge, though they were ultimately defeated and sent packing byGrimlock.Grudge Match!

Decepticons enemy action.jpg

Rampage was present at the Decepticons'underwater base when Galvatron returned. Shockwave chose to try and have his troops gun down the encroaching super-Decepticon, only for Galvatron to inform them after easily breaching their defenses that he had come in peace; it was Shockwave's decision to meet him with violence that then prompted him to declare them his enemies. Rampage turned to Shockwave, utterly unimpressed with how his leader had handled the situation, as Galvatron once more took his leave.Enemy Action!

Bad kitty!

UnderRatbat's leadership, Rampage and the Predacons raided a chemical plan forliquid oxygen fuel. At the timeRAAT were holding the sixThrottlebots captive and sinceForrest Forsythe refused to believe the Autobots and Decepticons were separate factions, he issued an ultimatum that one more attack would lead to the Throttlebots' execution. When the Decepticons attacked again and the Throttlebots were publicly executed, the Predacons and Ratbat arrived to verify that they really were dead, but it became apparent that the Autobots'brain modules had been removed before death. Tracking the "fuel scent" of the brain modules to a nearby mall where the Throttlebots were being transported inside toy cars, Rampage and the others attempted to capture them but were outmanoeuvred at every turn by their miniature opponents.Toy Soldiers!

The Decepticons relocated to theArctic, only to be apparently found by an enemy force. Rampage and the others scrambled out to meet their visitors, finding not the Autobots as they had anticipated, but rather another group of Decepticons led byScorponok. Through subtle manipulations,Starscream managed to pit both groups against one another, culminating in a giant brawl between them. Rampage had a truly spectacular fight with Scorponok's animal flunkyApeface during this firstDecepticon Civil War—after he ripped off Apeface's arm and spat it out, theHorrorcon proceeded to beat the Predacon with his own limb.Cold War! The Decepticons were ultimately forced to join up with the Autobots in order to stop Starscream from going on a rampage across the globe, after the latter managed to absorb a portion of the power contained within the legendaryUnderbase. The Autobot/Decepticon alliance scattered their forces to cities they knew Starscream would attack, with Rampage getting sent toTokyo as part of a group led by Scorponok. There, Starscream used the cosmic energies he had absorbed to blow him and the other Predacons to pieces.Dark Star

Razorclaw rampage snow fun.jpg

Rampage and Razorclaw were patrolling theCanadian snowfields for Shockwave and bumped intoGrimlock, who had just been had by theDinobots as anApril Fools' joke—they had set up a fake challenge by Shockwave and lured him out into the cold, only to find a "Shockwave snowman" and a sign. Razorclaw and Rampage thought this was very funny. What Grimlock did to them ended up being censored, but it probably wasn't hugs and kisses.Snow Fun!

Later on, Rampage was seen at theEnclave talking toScavenger. He was presumably swept up in the fracas when the Autobots sabotaged the peace-talks, pitting Shockwave's and Megatron's against one another once more. The Bad Guy's Ball! He also joined Soundwave in attacking the AutobotEarthbase after the two Decepticon factions reunited with each other. Despite the base's defenses being inactive at the time, the Decepticons were driven off in short order.Divide and Conquer!

When making an attempt onRodimus Prime's life on Cybertron, Rampage and the Predacons were caught up in a nightmarish fantasy world, projected into reality by theQuintessons by tappingDaniel Witwicky's subconscious mind. After Razorclaw was carried off with the AutobotSpringer by one of the dream creatures, Rodimus suggested the two factions team up and search for their friends together. Headstrong and Tantrum were vehemently against the idea, and so Rampage stuck with his pack. After nearly being eaten by a giant plant, however, Rampage may've helped convince his teammates that togetherness was a good idea, because the Predacons started working more closely with Rodimus andUltra Magnus after that.Nightmare Planet

I feel strange... Do i come fromSomewhere?

Rampage is like an elemental force of nature, tearing through life - and his enemies - with such ferocity, such furious energy, there's simply no stopping him. No reasoning with him.

After these bursts of violent action, lashing out at anything or anyone (including his fellow Predacons) he's barely coherent, and it's best to just leave him be. But then, with little or no rhyme or reason, he's off again. Go figure!.Rampage bio

Rampage served as one ofRazorclaw's "Orderly Queue" that attacked an Autobot outpost.

  • Class: Warrior
  • Lowest Star Rating: 1 star

Tyger, Tyger, burning neon...
Rampage transforms into an orange, black, and red robotic tiger. Hisbeast mode legs and head have varying degrees of articulation (though the latter has more to do with his transformation). As was the norm for toys made during the period, he has limited articulation inrobot mode. Rampage is armed with two black lightning rifles and a gold thermo-sword.
Normally, Rampage forms the right arm of Predaking, but can also be used as the combiner's left arm (which was the configuration seen for Predaking's comic and animation models).
As with the rest of the Predacons, the initial release of Rampage haddie-cast metal parts which were later replaced by plastic: in Rampage's case, his hip/waist assembly. In Japan, he was available individually or as part of a gift set with the rest of the Predacons.
Rampage's sword was later redecoed and included in theAge of ExtinctionSilver Knight Optimus Prime &Grimlock exclusive 2-pack as an accessory for Silver Knight Optimus Prime.

  • Predaking (Gift set, 1986/2004)
    • ID number:D-78
    • Accessories: thermo-sword, 2 lightning rifles
In Japan, all five Predacons were also made available as a very large gift-set. This huge box was reissued in 2004, using the die-cast construction of the initial releases.

As a part of theWelcome to Transformers 2010 line, the original Predacon molds were reissued. Rampage features significant differences from the prior versions; his red, gray, and black plastic is altered to a metal fleck equivalent color. All of his label stickers were redesigned, most notably his chest label that more closely resembles the animation design. Also included are optional labels for Rampage's eyes to make them red in both modes.
This version of Rampage features die-cast metal parts.

Part of the first normal wave ofMicro-ChangerKreons, Rampage is ablindpacked-bagged mini-figure, though a stamped ID number can be found on the back of the bag, top-right corner. He comes with extra parts to convert him into a tiger (we guess), including a new generic beast-like head piece.

  • Decepticon Rampage (Kreon Micro-Changer,2016)
    • Collection:1
    • Accessories: logo plate, 2 small pistols, blade
In 2016, Collection 1 was re-released in a whole new production run for Dollar General stores in the US as part of a large collection of re-releasedKre-O sets. But where most of these releases are nigh-identical to the originals, the re-released Micro-Changer blind-bags use the almost-entirely-retooled 2015 Kreon, with slightly-differently-hued plastics than the originals. (It is possible for some of the add-on pieces to be in the older hues.) Rampage's torso and facetampographs have also been reworked to be slightly more detailed (if less contrast-y), and the formerly-bare legs now have extra detail tampographing on them.
Sadly, this release has no individual-identification code on the bag, requiring you to use the feel-through-the-bag method or just buy blind and hope.
