A reformed Scourge returns to the Legends World on a mission, but is his brutal brand of justice any better than evil?

Synopsis

Since hisreformatting into a heroicAutobot in a smallprotoform body,Scourge has been put in charge of aDimensional Patrol protoform squadron charged with capturing the remainingCommandos, who have fled to theLegends World. His soldiers locate the fugitives and forcibly reformatRollbar into one of them, and when his comrades reach out to help, protoform-Rolbar turns on them and reformats them as well. OnlyMega-Octane gets away and urgesDark Ai to save herself, believing her to be their last hope. The arrival of a black tanker truck briefly makes him think Scourge has returned to normal, but the vehicle reveals itself to be a mass-produced Dimensional Patrol drone based on Scourge's old body and reformats him.

Refusing to leave the Legends world with Dark Ai still on the loose, Scourge andSkids announce that during their indefinite stay, the world'stranstectors will be sealed off for the security's sake. AsAutobot Axalon andDecepticon Tera-Kura alike grumble about this, Dark Ai appears at Axalon and reveals that she's carrying backup data of Scourge and the Commandos' evil personalities.Rattrap and the Autobots agree to help her install the data into Scourge and make him turn on the Dimensional Patrol, just as the Patrol learns of Dark Ai's location and have their drones carpet bomb Axalon. The Autobot Headmasters fight back by incapacitating the drones with Skids's keep-out tape, modifying them into transtectors, and taking control of them. Scourge responds byscanningHardhead and adopting a Headmaster form himself, but this is just what the Autobots had been hoping for: as soon as Scourge combines with one of the drones, Dark Ai enters its cockpit and installs the backup data, restoring Scourge to his "normal" self. Turning against the Dimensional Patrol, he helps the Autobots drive Skids and the protoform soldiers out of the Legends World.

In the aftermath, Scourge restores the other Commandos and prepares to returnhome, now in command of new drone soldiers captured from the Patrol. He considers conquering the Legends World first, but writes it off as a joke when the Autobots train their guns at him. Dark Ai punishes him for the jest with an electrical whip while teaching him that the enemy of your enemy is your friend, surprising Rattrap with the fact thatshe's the domineering one of the two.

• The protoforms under Black Convoy's command are based directly onDiac, whose mold was used to make protoform Scourge.
• Both the drones and the Dimensional Patrol's base are made from alternate transformations of theLegends Voyager Scourge toy.
• Scourge's catchphrase inCar Robots was that he will "make the flower of evil bloom". As part of the Dimensional Patrol, this is changed into the "flower of justice" (正義の花を咲かせるのだ！Seigi no hana o sakaseru noda!).
