Frenzy is aDecepticonMini-Con from theAligned continuity family.

Frenzy's tendency to lash out at anyone who reminds him of his size would make him a textbook case ofShort Bot syndrome if it weren't for the fact that he'll lash out at nearly anybody for almost no reason at all. ADeployer spy and all-around sneaky robot smaller than other Decepticons, Frenzy focuses on hiding and striking Autobots where they least expect it!

He's a follower, not a leader, and his ambition is limited to making trouble and hurting people. He can usually be found as part ofSoundwave's throng of underlings, but he's also been known to tag along withBarricade—that guy's always tracking down somebody to beat up.

He's red, and blue! And gray, also.

Frenzy was one of the two test subjects inShockwave's latest experiment. Frenzy and his brother Rumble's sparks would be extracted from their bodies and placed inLaser cores, which would permanently allow their sparks to be switched between different bodies. WhentwoAutobots invaded the lab they were in,Thundercracker released Rumble and Frenzy to engage the Autobots. After Shockwave eventually disarmed the Autobots, Rumble and Frenzy were ordered to execute them, but the two Autobots utilized the Decepticons' original data disc bodies to stop Rumble and Frenzy (who were unwilling to risk harm to their old bodies). After beating the twoDeployers with their own bodies, the Autobots tossed the bodies out of the lab's windows, into the lab's waste canals. Rumble and Frenzy immediately followed, trying to retrieve their bodies.

Back inKaon, Soundwave would demand that Shockwave return the two to their original bodies, to which Shockwave complied.Unreliable Narratives

Part of the first wave ofGenerationsLegends Class toys, Frenzy transforms into a "data disc". He is designed to interact with the Voyager ClassSoundwave mold, being capable of storing in and launching out of Soundwave's chest compartment, and features apartial, spring-loaded transformation to robot mode that is triggered when a button on his underside is pressed. He features hands that are compatible with3 mm posts, and comes with a clear-purple plastic case which can be used to store him in disc mode.

Frenzy uses the same "circuit board" pattern as the other three humanoid data discs, but like the other three, has been mirrored in a way to give each one a unique orientation to the pattern.

Due to his construction, Frenzy has little to no posability, and the fact there is nothing to lock his feet into the proper position renders standing alone very difficult for him.

He was only available in a two-pack withRatbat. He wasredecoed into his wave-mate,Rumble, andretooled to make his Autobot counterpartsEject andRewind.

True to classicTakaraTomy form, this version of Frenzy is basically the blue-and-black humanoid. There are a fewpaint operation changes from the Hasbro version, mainly adding black to his fists. The faction symbol on his chest is a brighter lavender, and the blue "base layer" under his circuit pattern is a more subdued powder-blue, and also lacks the ring-shaped gap between the circuit portion and the raised center nub with the faction symbol.

He was only available as part of a four-disc set withRavage,Rumble, andRatbat.

This toy was repurposed asCloudFrenzy.

Part of the tenth wave ofPrime toys in Japan, Frenzy is a redeco of theTakaraTomy version ofPrime Rumble, transforming into a blue compact car of made-up model with red windows, and using the mold'salternate head. He also has a "dramatic head reveal," wherein his head springs out from within his torso when said torso is opened during transformation. A good amount of his detail-based deco is provided by customer-appliedstickers, including a number of optional racing-decal-style stickers not shown in his stock imagery.

He comes with hisArms Micron partner,Dago F, a robotic octopus that converts into a pile-driver/cannon weapon based on the HasbroPrime Rumble's weapons.

Despite looking similar to theHasbro "Robots in Disguise" Rumble toy at first glance, his car-body is a darker blue, plus he uses light blue plastic for his biceps, thighs, and feet, unlike Hasbro-Rumble's black.

This mold also served as the basis for the non-toyBeast Wars: Uprising designs ofRattrap andPackrat.

Available only with his larger Deluxe-sized partnerBarricade (as part of anhomage to the pairing ofBarricade andFrenzy in thelive-action movie),Timelines Frenzy is aredeco of thePrimeArms MicronSou, transforming into a circular saw weapon. He is covered in multiple5 mm posts and holes so he can be assembled into bigger and more ridiculous weapons.

The toy comes pre-assembled (Arms Microns are typically sold still as parts on their sprues like model kits), but is alsomis-assembled, with his thighs facing backwards. This can be fairly easily fixed by removing the thigh piece, flipping it around, and swapping the shins.

The Barricade/Frenzy pack was only available as part of theTransformers Collectors' ClubFigure Subscription Service's 2014 lineup.

This mold was also used to makeGan.

Adventure Frenzy is a minor redeco ofUnitedFrenzy; the most notable changes being his pale-aqua chest details instead of metallic gold, and a much paler shade of light blue plastic. He transforms into a dual-cannon anti-aircraft vehicle similar to a Gepard. In robot mode, his arms can transform into spring-loaded pile-driver weapons, and his twoC joint guns can be attached to bars on either his arms or back. As per usual in Japanese toylines, Frenzy is blue. He came packaged with his mold-mateRumble.

His scannable badge, compatible with theTransformers Chronicle app, located on the left section of his right piledriver arms/tank treads, is not accessible while in vehicle mode.

This sculpt was also used to makeUnitedRumble and was furthermoreretooled intoTimelinesRewind andEject. In addition, the sculpt's initial release would have been in the2010Transformers line asReveal the ShieldDemolition Rumble, but was cancelled before it could reach shelves.

• Like several otherPrime toys unrelated to the cartoon, the Deluxe mold originally intended for Frenzy came about as part of an opportunity to create acapsule line for theAsian market^[1] (a la the "Global Development Organization"Generations releases from that same year), tying into the short-livedTransformers OnlineMMORPG.^[2] As this capsule never materialised,Rumble ended up being the first use of the mold.
