Emirate is a title given to some high-rankingTransformer leaders. The title is political, not military.

The Emirates were prominent government figures prior to theGreat War. What exactly being an Emirate entails and how one becomes one is unknown. There is some suggestion that an Emirate may be responsible for a certain territory (see "Notes"), asXeon was apparently responsible for governance ofKaon.
