Another Dropshot was a full-sized Decepticon. Dropshot infiltrated the American military forces early on in the Decepticon offensive, posing as one of their artillery vehicles. His mission was to monitor the military and report back all he heard toMegatron. A bit wound-up after having to sit and spy on the humans for so long, Dropshot eagerly attacked them. Shrugging off the humans' attempts to fight back, Dropshot asked aloud who could possibly stop him at this point. As if on cue,Kup emerged from the water behind him, having been dropped into the river bySkywarp earlier.

Released in the seventh and final year of theoriginalTransformers toyline in the US (sixth in European/Australasian markets),Micromaster Dropshot is a tiny robot that transforms into a tiny blue armored personnel carrier of made-up origin, armed with a rotating (non-firing) twin cannon.

He was available only in a four-pack with his teammatesBombshock,Growl, andTracer.

Dropshot was also released inTakara'sFight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers line, during theReturn of Convoy portion of the line. While the toy had no notable physical changes from the Hasbro release, like allReturn of Convoy Micromasters, he was marketed as an Autobot instead of a Decepticon.

Like the Hasbro toy, he was only available in a complete set with his teammates, but this release includedMicro Trailer #3.

Part of the second wave ofUniverse Voyagers, "Decepticon Dropshot" is aredeco ofCybertronCybertron Defense Scattorshot, transforming into a multiple-launch rocket system which kinda resembles aTOS-1 Buratino. The halves of the (non-firing) launcher end up on his arms inrobot mode. In either mode, inserting a Cyber Key in each half reveals a new weapon: the right side has a slide-out double spring-loaded missile launcher which ends up on his left robot arm, while the left has a flip-out non-firing blaster barrel which ends up on his right robot arm. Both key-activated weapons feature fake handles which end up being "held" by his hands inrobot mode, although the missile launcher on his right arm needs to be slid forward for him to be able to reach the deployed blaster's handle. He also comes with an extra long brown hand-held rifle that can be mounted in tank mode thanks to hisMini-Con-compatiblePowerlinx plugs. Dropshot's "DC02077" tampograph references deco artistAndrew Scribner's birthday.^[2]

His box photo shows an opaque-brownEarth Key with tan paint. The toy actually comes with an entirely unpainted transparent-brown Earth Key.
