Te Tai Whakaea was created to collect, preserve and share the histories of Treaty of Waitangi settlements from across the country as a resource to educate and inform current and future generations.
About Te TaiAs of January 2023, 86 settlements had been passed into law. The total value of all finalised settlements is $2.6 billion. The entire value of Treaty settlements would cover superannuation payments for two months.
