This game could be really good, but the RNG aspect is complete bullshit. I've tried the scythe girl fight 7 times but every time she just obliterates me in a few turns because even when I use defensive items, she just attacks before the MC uses the item. Even when I use the barrier item, the MC uses it at the end of the turn, which completely defeats the purpose of an item that negates all damage that turn. It doesn't help that your energy (or whatever it's called) gets reduced to 1 or even 0 every turn. It's way too stacked in the enemies favor.
use the immunity totem when she strikes her 'heavy' attack and pray for it to be applied before her attack, keep to keep your health over 100, and wait for you to have aa lot of APs to use your ambush (knife icon) so you'll deal double the dmg next round. worked for me, although I had only 10hp remaining
Played the demo. Design is amazing, script is a bit cliche but not too bad. It's a shame that the only lewd scene available in the demo is very tame.
Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it's a great game past the demo but without knowing how it really is, I can't say it's worth getting the full game. Especially with the horrible rng with the boss. There's not a guarantee you will win. I have beat them but it takes several tries even though I understand the battle system. It's completely up to rng.
Anyways, love the design. Wish there was more available in the demo. To those reading, if you have the money to spare then I recommend buying the full version to experience it. I'm on a very tight budget so I can't.
Thanks for taking the time to read!
Bought the premium game and loving the story and art but I'm kinda lost. game isn't great at giving you directions. I've visited every class, the bathrooms, the deans office and the staff room but now the game seems to be stuck. It's telling me I need to investigate but then not letting me investigate anything or talk to anyone
Art-style is cool and animations are fine but PLEASE rework the dialogues, cut off pointless interactions and make them more dense, story was interesting at first but the amount of pontlessly long dialogues made me start skipping even before finishing the first "mission". Make the "call" interaction not obligatory for every freaking move, or at least add a faster way to skip dialogues, because they are not good atm, which is sad because story was genuinely interesting at first.
Also, the combat needs to be sped up! Small fights are painfully slow, specially because of the gun attack animation length.
Seems like a project that could be good, but currently feels way too slowed down in gameplay and dialogues, it's tedious.
I created this account just to say how much I love this game. The art reminds me of Danganronpa and UI reminds me of Persona 5.
I also loved how you implemented SCP lore in this game.
The dialogue feels pretty unique for an SCP lore which was a breath of fresh air.
I also enjoyed how you play as an undercover soldier and how you're trying to maintain your cover while also trying to find who will cause the end of the world.
It's like there is 2 plots going at the same time. The animations are also a very nice touch
This is all super unique and creative.
The combat system does require some getting used to since it has an RNG element to it so I would advise anyone who feels the RNG is working against them in a fight to simply restart the fight and try again and also remember don't waste your bullets on enemies until they drop their shield.
btw you should use SCP-999 and Scp 173 is the creepiest SCP I read about
The balancing needs some serious work.
The scythe boss feels brutally artificially inflated and frustrating, because she almost always reduces your own turns to only 1, boosts her own turns to like 5, heals all damage done to her, then deals massive damage that you absolutely CANNOT heal as fast as she dishes out - in large part due to the fact you had your 3 or 4 turns reduced to only 1 - even if you're using shielding to tank some of the damage she does.
To a lesser extent, this is also true for the more basic enemies you face before that.
You may only face two of them at a time, but because they keep lowering your already unimpressive amount of turns to barely anything - and they do so *frequently* - while also healing most damage done, once they're under 60 HP, it drags, what should be a relatively straight forward fight, out into getting boring pretty quickly.
On top of that, most of your abilities aren't explained at all. They're just icons you have to click and hopefully figure out in the middle of a fight.
A hover-over tool tip would be perfect in this case.
TL;DR:
Game is currently too heavily balanced in the enemies' favor, making fights a drag, if not outright frustrating.
The fights have RNG. The first time I fought the Scythe girl she wiped the floor with me but the second time I fought her she was pretty easy to defeat as long as you anticipate her strong attack that dealt 100 damage.
As long as you survive that attack and fight her aggressively without being too reckless with your health it should be an easy fight.
Also if you want to increase your turns then you can consume that medicine thing
I wish this game had the same turn based gameplay as SCP expedition game
