The first post on Twitter was on March 21, 2006 by founder Jack Dorsey. I joined in February 2008, and for the past 16 years, I’ve visitedTwitter.com, but today, that changed.

When logging on to X this afternoon, I noticed a big change, the domain name has finally been updated tox.com, highlighted by an alert banner at the bottom of the page explaining the change to X has taken place.

When Elon Musk took over Twitter in 2023, the team began changing the name of the platform, officially renaming it to X in July 2023. This famously included the removal of the Twitter sign from the headquarters in San Francisco and having slowly worked towards the rebrand, the final piece of the puzzle, the domain is officiallyX.com

For more than 16 years, I’ve been logging on daily, the majority of the time dedicating a second monitor to X Pro (formerly TweetDeck) to stay up to date with technology and participate in conversations from around the world.
