The concept of “Gini Bu Nkpa Gi?” (What Is Your Purpose), started as a simple idea in the mind of a 25 year old, Tobe Nwigwe. After graduating college, he began searching for his niche in life and in the midst of this exploration he started to think about the small community that he had been born and raised in, Alief. Tobe’s home community dealt with the typical problems of an urban community: crime, drugs, and unplanned pregnancy. Tobe had several friends and family members fall victim to these surrounding circumstances, even before the completion of high school. After leaving for college and returning back to his community there was a stark realization that problems had grown worse, much worse. This young man was once taught the differences between types of ideas; There are “Good” ideas and there are “GOD” ideas. Tobe in fact had a “GOD” idea and it was apparent after he told two of his closest friends, Jefferey Idehen and Michael Tauiliili, and then spread his vision amongst Alief and the surrounding communities. Tobe’s “GOD” idea has been continuing to spread and come into fruition. | TeamGINI consists of young (and young at heart) people who are passionate about living a life of purpose and want to empower the younger generation to discover their own! TeamGINI is volunteer based the organization’s success falls solely on the efforts of these valued volunteers! “Gini Bu Nkpa Gi? envisions a world full of communities thriving through purposeful living and synergy between individuals, families, schools, and businesses! Gini Bu Nkpa Gi? makes purpose popular amongst the younger generation using ‘entertaining education’ |
