  • The crown chests were removed because of the new October season (Pass Royale revamp), with a redesign, which is a strange combination of the old Pass Royale and theBrawl Pass.
  • Add Goblin Queen's Journey Stuff, notably the Goblin Queen's Baby Goblin Mechanic, Trophies, Menu Theme, Chests, Arenas, and the Green Background.
  • Add some music here (Rock Barbarians, Little Prince Big Trouble/Tavern, Fight Night and Shocktober 2, and maybe also throw in Muskets at Dawn.

Early King Design

An early version of the King's design existed in the first iOS release of the game. His beard matches the color of his team unlike in the final design, has a differently shaped crown, a purple robe, and when activated carries a cannon instead of the cannon rising from his tower. This design matches up with concept art of the King.

Found inassets\sc\ui.sc andassets\sc\ui_tex.sc. This is an animation for theLevel Up chest going into a chest slot. This goes unused as these chests do not show up in the Chest Cycle.

dark_elixir_float_txt

Found inassets\sc\ui.sc andassets\sc\ui_tex.sc. The animation is similar to theElixir Collectors elixir animation that plays when theElixir Collector has collected elixir. Seeing from some other unused things, it is likely that the evolutions were supposed to have some sort of second elixir bar. This would have probably come with some sort ofDark Elixir Collector. This is unconfirmed but it seems likely due to an unusedDark Elixir icon inspell_card_ingame.

Found inassets\sc\ui.sc andassets\sc\ui_tex.sc.RED is an organization to help people fight Aids. Between November 30 and December 6 there was a special offer in the game that gave 500 gems and a temporary tower skin. All of the money made from the offer was donated toRED.

Poison

After the servers split into the Chinese and world-wide ones, the color of the Poison card was changed to green on the Chinese server. The new name roughly translates to "damage spell". A green-like spell concept was later used for the Goblin Curse Spell.

Gem Hoggy Bank

A green, shiny, Gem variation of the Hoggy Bank can be seen in this version. The amount of gems capped here is at 500, and it is never present in the global. It would have been intended that Gems can be filled by opening crown chests, or buying with the exclusive currency.Image

Exclusive currency

This currency, while not present in the globally-released version is a blue colored, white outlined ticket that had a light blue crown in the middle. A similar icon containing a light-blue Barbarian at the middle had also appeared in the Chinese version of Clash of Clans.Image

Skeleton Design

Unlike the Chinese version of Clash of Clans, the skeletons were changed to dark blob knights since the Muskets at Dawn update. It also affected the Guards, painting with a dark-like color to give the illusion that they are guards. They gave the skeleton dragons some white, moldy skin instead of bones. It changed every single card that contained skeletal proportions to a metal suit with a helmet. This also affected the Skeleton King card. To top it off, the skeleton painting in the rocket and the skeleton barrel were also crossed-out. It also applied toeverything (sprites, card graphics, including card evolutions, etc.), and even changed and toned down the emotes and sounds. This character became the basis of any future Chinese releases.

They are referred to as "Dark Ink Soldiers" or "Black Elixir Knights", instead of "Skeletons". This is because skeletons are made out of bones while this character has dark grey goop, and having grey, shiny armor. The scar on the right eye is kept. Skeleton Barrel is referred to "Acid Balloon" or "Dark Barrel". Skeletal Dragons are referred to as "Mold Dragons" or "Clay Dragons". Giant Skeleton is named "Dark Blob Giant".

This change was announced in Early November/Late October of 2024 by Tencent, to further-develop the localization.

Executioner Card Preview

The Executioner card preview got a complete makeover in 1.8.0. The mask's texture is shinier, the nose is a brighter shade of pink. The expression is slightly more cartoonish, though eyes are now creepier, a new tooth has been added, and the executioner now has a stubble. The axe is redrawn, with it being slightly more to the left and having an extra shade of grey.
