Miss Marple was abook series byAgatha Christie (PROSE:The Time Lord's Story) about an "old lady detective" named MissMarple. (TV:Eye of the Gorgon,The Unicorn and the Wasp)
Christie was unconsciously inspired to create the series by a meeting withDonna Noble and theTenth Doctor in1926, in which Donna made ananachronistic remark about Miss Marple, a character Christie hadn't created yet. Donna tried to get her to agree on jointcopyright for the idea. (TV:The Unicorn and the Wasp)
TheEighth Doctor had a full set ofMiss Marples, all of which were signed personally by Agatha Christie. He claimed never to have asked her to sign them. The Doctor toldTianna that when their current predicament was all over, he'd lend her the set—"Just lending, mind"; he wouldn't fully part with his signed copies. (PROSE:The Time Lord's Story)
