Inthe Warrior's universe, aDalek saucer crashed onMarinus near theGlass Caves in theplanet'swilderness, along with aDalek time ship, after losing whatthe Master referred to as a "dogfight" during theTime War.

From later observations of the ships' wreckage, the Master reasoned that the two ships had been attacked by weaponry more powerful than anything theMillennians possessed, although he was unsure of the true perpetrators due to losing most of hismemories of hislife before living in the wilderness fromyears of exposure to the corruptedtime field that encompassed the wilderness.

The dogfight and subsequent crash of the two Dalek ships was monitored by a resistance force ofBankrupt Millennians led by the Master. After a team ofscouts confirmed the Dalek ships' crash site, the Master led a volunteer salvage team, includingRiffort andCoraine to recover any intactDalek weaponry before any rogue raiders could do the same. However, by the time the Master's salvage team came within twodays of the crash site, the last surviving members of theDalek crews were engaged in a battle with numerous raiders. The Master's salvage team witnessed part of the battle, but were too far away to immediately identify the battle's participants. The Master himself only vaguely recognised the sound of the Daleks'gunsticks, again due to much of his memory having been erased from years of living in the wilderness.

By the time the Master's salvage team reached the crashed Dalek saucer, the raiders had successfullykilled the remaining Daleks and stolen at least some of the weaponry contained within the saucer and the Dalek time ship. The Master and his team were, however, able to salvagea highly powerful Dalek weapon from the wreckage of the Dalek time ship, as well as numerous gunsticks. The Master later modified the weapon to breachthe Wall surroundingMillennius, allowing him and his resistance to mount an assault onthe Bank in an attempt to killHorol.

The wreckage of the Dalek saucer, along with all other Dalek technology on Marinus, was eventually destroyed completely whenthe Warrior destroyed Marinus bydematerialisinghis TARDIS following the erasure of Horol'stemporal web as a result of herdeath.
