Dalekcommand ships were leadingspacecraft used by theDaleks and commanded by aCommand Dalek. A variant was theDalek base ship. Saucer-shaped command ships were known asDalek command saucers, distinguished from command ships of other shapes.

Humanhistorians in thepost-Time War universe believed that, at the end of the2150s Dalek invasion of Earth, theDalek Earthforce's command saucer had been destroyed by thevolcaniceruption caused whenProject Degravitate was thwarted. (PROSE:Dalek: The Astounding Untold History of the Greatest Enemies of the Universe) By another account, theBlack Dalek's ship was the sole survivor of thefleet of twelve saucers. Badly crippled, the saucer was forced to make a slow return toSkaro, with theBlack Dalek reporting the failure to theDalek Prime. (PROSE:The History of the Daleks)

In the26th century, aCouncillor-classspaceship transported aDalek Supreme of theSupreme Council toSpiridon. The spaceship was stolen by a group ofThals who used it to escape Spiridon, stranding the Supreme Dalek who was forced to send for arescue craft.
