Dalekcommand ships were leadingspacecraft used by theDaleks and commanded by aCommand Dalek. A variant was theDalek base ship. Saucer-shaped command ships were known asDalek command saucers, distinguished from command ships of other shapes.

Humanhistorians in thepost-Time War universe believed that, at the end of the2150s Dalek invasion of Earth, theDalek Earthforce's command saucer had been destroyed by thevolcaniceruption caused whenProject Degravitate was thwarted. (PROSE:Dalek: The Astounding Untold History of the Greatest Enemies of the Universe) By another account, theBlack Dalek's ship was the sole survivor of thefleet of twelve saucers. Badly crippled, the saucer was forced to make a slow return toSkaro, with theBlack Dalek reporting the failure to theDalek Prime. (PROSE:The History of the Daleks)

In the26th century, aCouncillor-classspaceship transported aDalek Supreme of theSupreme Council toSpiridon. The spaceship was stolen by a group ofThals who used it to escape Spiridon, stranding the Supreme Dalek who was forced to send for arescue craft. (TV:Planet of the Daleks) This ship was designated as a Command Ship, alternatively a command spacecraft. As recorded in theDalek Combat Training Manual, this imposing craft was only in service for a short period, and generally only used for urgent missions. (PROSE:Dalek Combat Training Manual)

Asaucer-shapedDalek base ship was established on theplanetMazam. It was commanded by aCommand Dalek with a complement of 1,000 Daleks andOmega-Units. (COMIC:Abslom Daak... Dalek Killer)

A trio of Dalek ships, including acommand ship, pursuedTaiyin's space yacht toDraconia only to be destroyed byAbslom Daak before he touched down on theplanet. Later, abase ship sent a group ofDalek Space-Commando Units against theKill-Wagon, only to be destroyed by itsnuclear weapons. (COMIC:Star Tigers)

A bronze Dalek command saucer fought withCouncillor-classassault craft against theNix-Thassis, aMartian fleet. (PROSE:The Jeopardy of Solar Proximity)

AblackDalek Fleet Commander led theattack on Helatrine aboard aCommand Saucer. (PROSE:Infection of the Daleks)

TheDalek Battlecruiser which participated in theDuplicate Incident (TV:Resurrection of the Daleks) functioned as acommand vessel. (PROSE:Dalek: The Astounding Untold History of the Greatest Enemies of the Universe) The ship was a "supercharged class 6" battlecruiser, equipped with Grade-A Terror Weapons and treble reinforced shields. It was known in to the militaries of other species as the "Ball Crusher." (PROSE:Resurrection of the Daleks)

Davros'Imperial Dalek mothership was identified by historians as a command ship. (PROSE:Dalek: The Astounding Untold History of the Greatest Enemies of the Universe)

During the Dalek invasion ofMutter's Spiral, theImperial Command Ship was the flagship of the Dalek fleet and travelled toLopra Minor forProject Infinity. (AUDIO:Project Infinity)

A loneDalek command ship was signalled byProfessorMartez to help him birth his "Mutant Daleks" engineered fromhumans. In response, the Daleks diverted anasteroid to strikeRed Rocket Rising in a failed attempt to destroy Professor Martez' experiments, which were seen as "inferior". This ship landed on the planet. The Daleks planned to use the command ship to impact the Mutant Dalek base and evacuated. Its neutronic power source would ensure total destruction and the Daleks would kill the remaining humans on Red Rocket Rising.Tom Cardwell was able to shut down the power source with his fission batteries. In the firstyear of theLast Great Time War,Davros'command ship was lost when it flew into the jaws of theNightmare Child. It had been believed by all at the time that Davros was killed in this incident. However,Dalek Caan, a survivor of the Time War, used atemporal shift to break thetime-lock and save Davros from the doomed vessel. (TV:The Stolen Earth)
