ADalek saucer commander, orspaceship commander, (PROSE:Dalek Combat Training Manual) was the designated commander of theDalek flying saucer.

During aplanetary invasion, eachDalek saucer was under the command of ataskforce leader, distinguishable by itsblackdome and the alternating dark and light verticalpanels of itslower section. InBedfordshire during the2150s Dalek invasion of Earth, theFirst Doctor encountered asaucer commander, which served as the second-in-command to theSupreme Dalek. UnlikeDalek drones, the Saucer Commander had a uniquecasing featuring ablackdome and alternating black-and-silver panels on thebase unit. The commander, along with the Supreme Dalek and the Dalek fleet, was destroyed at the climax of the invasion by the uprush from the exploding penetrative explosive capsule. ADalek saucer commander led a saucer to destroysatellites during theCold War, hoping theAmericans and theRussians would blame each other and the conflict would escalate. It exterminated a Dalek for questioning an order. However, the Dalek saucer was infiltrated by theThird Doctor, who contacted asubmarine, theHMSPandora, and ordered it to fire on the ship. The Daleks, including the Saucer Commander, died as the ship flooded. (COMIC:The Threat from Beneath)
