ZQ Infantry Support Units were a model ofbattle droid developed and manufactured bySienar Intelligence Systems. The droids were used by theImperial military.

Characteristics[]

Designed forinfantry support, the ZQ was propelled by arepulsorlift engine and came standard with twoblaster cannons, each more than capable of dispatchingarmoredtroops, and a miniatureconcussion missile launcher. The ZQ also came with four additional hardpoints for mounting extra weapons, allowing for mission flexibility.^[1]

History[]

Widely deployed in the early days of theEmpire, the Imperials would later claim that the droid series had been eventually phased out. However, rumors of their continued use still persisted. About 20 or so modified ZQs were supposedly deployed alongside Imperialstorm commandos, specifically a unit known as theDeathWhispers, who had been tasked withwiping out the populace ofHyrol Preen Beta due to suspectedRebel activity on the planet.^[1]
