"So much for your ambush." - ―Vorin's Jedi comrade and Darth Malgus[1]
Vorin was aHumanmale who served as a member of theJedi Order during theGreat Galactic War between theGalactic Republic and thereconstituted Sith Empire. When the man was in his twenties, he defendedAlderaan after the Empire initiated a massiveassault on the RepublicCore World. Although the Imperial forces under theSith LordDarth Malgus were initially successful, the incursion force was eventually beaten back and theSith were forced into a retreat. While the surviving invasion forces fled the world, Vorin and hisZabrakJedi comrade surveyed the ruin of a destroyedAlderaanian town. Malgus, who had been heavily wounded during a Republic counterattack, was flying overhead in retreat, butfelt the presence ofJedi on the surface below. The Sith Lord descended upon the ruined town, where he discovered the Zabrak Jedi and engaged him inlightsabercombat. Vorin hid from battle, waiting for the opportune moment to reveal himself and strike, but Darth Malgussensed his presence inthe Force. After delivering a Force-augmented kick to the Zabrak's ribs, the Sith used the Force topull Vorin out of hiding and crush his windpipe. Although the Jedi attempted to fight back, he was able to do little more than swing hisgreen lightsaber at empty air before Malguskilled him.
